This may be controversial, but your anxiety might not be the problem you feel out of control… your pace might be.
Here’s how I found that out.
I had zero margin.
Not because I was doing something wrong, but because I was doing everything under the sun.
I packed my days to the absolute max: caring for my people, keeping up with responsibilities, trying to be “fine”… and leaving no room to just be.
And the truth is, it wasn’t like I woke up one day and suddenly “burned out.”
It was a buildup.
Little by little, my nervous system started waving the red flags: racing thoughts, irritability, overwhelm.
What actually helped was creating healthier rhythms in our home and getting more intentional about what we said yes to (and what we lovingly said no to because it was best for our family).
One of the biggest shifts:
We got clear on our top 3 priorities.
And if those weren’t being cared for, we didn’t commit to anything else.
If you’re living at max capacity, you’re not doing anything “wrong”, you’re just overloaded.
And you don’t have to wait until you crash to make a change.
