🧩 ABA Therapy Is About So Much More Than Behavior!

Many people think ABA therapy is only about addressing challenging behaviors—but ABA can help children build many of the skills they need to learn, communicate, participate, and become more independent.

During therapy, depending on each child’s age, developmental level, and individualized goals, we may work on:

✨ Communication and language
✨ Following directions
✨ Attention and focus
✨ Social skills and interaction
✨ Play skills
✨ Turn-taking and waiting
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Problem-solving
✨ Emotional regulation and frustration tolerance
✨ Independence and daily living skills
✨ Learning readiness and school-related skills

📚 So why do you sometimes see books, puzzles, letters, numbers, matching activities, and other school-style materials during ABA therapy?

Because these are great tools for therapy! We incorporate age-appropriate educational materials and activities to practice important ABA goals such as communication, attending, following instructions, requesting help, completing tasks, transitioning between activities, and increasing independence.

What may look like a simple puzzle, game, or learning activity can actually be an opportunity to practice multiple therapeutic skills at the same time.

Every activity has a purpose, and therapy is individualized to the needs and goals of each child. 💙

What an incredible two months filled with learning, laughter, friendships, growth, and so many unforgettable memories. We are extremely proud of each one of our campers and so happy to have been part of their summer journey. 💙☀️

A heartfelt thank-you to all the families who believed in us and trusted Amazing Development Care with their children. Your support means more to us than words can express.

A very special thank-you to Ms. Tiffany for planning such an amazing camp, organizing all the wonderful activities, and for her dedication, creativity, and hard work throughout these two months. We truly appreciate everything she did to make this experience so special for our campers. 💐

We also want to thank the wonderful moms who brought snacks, treats, and gifts for everyone. Your kindness and generosity made our last day even more memorable.
