Oh the horror stories I could tell.
But I can't complain about showers because I refuse to go into their cootie infested shower rooms.
I think twelve hours is the longest I had to sit in a s**tty brief..... But I was waiting for a shift change.
There is about one meal a week that won't send me to the hospital. Today that meal was Shepherds Pie.
Yesterday they served a tasty Chicken and Kotex Bake. (I am being snarky) Next week there will be two servings of Python Regurgitated Chicken Parts. (More Snark). Residents say on the praise board that the food is tasty. Hmmm
I reside in an Ensign Facility

The Denver Post is investigating resident care at Colorado’s three largest nursing home chains: the Ensign Group, Life Care Centers of America and PACS Group.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from residents and their families about whether they received prompt help with daily activities such as eating and bathing and whether facilities were able to prevent or treat wounds.

Understaffing and turnover

The conditions in nursing homes and assisted living centers around Colorado, where residents often receive as little as two hours of direct care each day, are deteriorating.

Chronic understaffing has led to severe deficiencies at these facilities, more than in most states, with rising numbers of complaints lodged by residents.

Original leg post earlier this week.

It may be closer to curtains than I thought earlier today. The leg infection has gone higher than my knee. It has not done that before. The last time the infection took the leg.... I spent about a week in the hospital with IV antibiotics. I will tell the night nurse and see if she gives a damn. You might as well know that this is infected skin and not infected blood yet.

Update..... I got oral antibiotics and some cream. They wanted to send me out..... But still here.

No antibiotics
Cream only.

And then several days of hell with CNAs. Still s**t in the crack.
Didn't even wipe!
