VIPs party at Atria Tarzana! 🪩🐶

Very important puppies, that is. Each month, all the furry neighbors are invited to a tail-waggingly good party, along with their humans and neighbors. It's a great chance for the dogs to enjoy some extra attention and playtime.

With a table full of treats, we're sure some doggie bags were taken home. 🦴

Howie reminds us that joy is meant to be shared. At Atria Park of Lynbrook he’s known for bringing smiles to fellow residents through singing, dancing and his unforgettable sense of humor.

As Howie likes to say, “My sister got the lessons, but I got the talent.” 💃🎶

Thank you, Howie, for sharing your talent, energy and joy with everyone around you!

Delicious food, celebrity judges and stellar emcees made our community cook-offs a huge success! Our Chef Showdown Social Series event was a tasty one as taco recipes from our chefs went head-to-head with recipes from local fire chiefs and first responders.

And the good news? Everyone's a winner when tacos are involved!

More than 25 years ago, Ricardo and his wife joined the team at Atria Golden Creek. Their 7-year-old daughter, Anahi, would come volunteer with residents whenever she could.

Years later, Anahi returned as a caregiver and has now spent 14 years growing into her current role as Resident Services Coordinator. Along the way, she completed nursing school through Atria’s tuition reimbursement program and is now on her way to becoming an LVN.

And the tradition continues – when Anahi’s daughter Jessica turned 7, she began volunteering too. Today, she’s a Bistro Attendant at the community.

Three generations connected by a shared love of serving older adults. 💙

Life Guidance residents at Atria at Foster Square enjoyed a whale watching outing along the San Francisco Bay coastline, spotting migrating gray whales. They had a blast soaking up fresh ocean air, talking with friends and making the most of the opportunity to observe marine life in its natural habitat.

It looks like it was a whale of a time!

Meet Worley, one of the incredible Resident Ambassadors at Atria Grapevine! 🌟

Known for his storytelling skills and beautiful Cajun accent, Worley loves welcoming new neighbors, helping others feel at home and building connections.

Worley has dedicated his life to service; after coaching youth basketball for decades, he was delighted to find a new purpose in sharing stories with new friends and encouraging them to try an exercise class or Book Club.

We’re so grateful for resident ambassadors, who make our communities warmer, more connected places every day!

Beverly has been knitting for as long as she can remember, but her specialty is a little unusual. Knitted chickens!

She has created 48 unique chickens, each one made specifically for the person she is knitting it for. When she found out Mackenzie, one of Atria Patchogue's Engage Life team members, was getting married, she could not wait to make her first-ever bride and groom chickens.

"I've spent the last two months collecting specific items, ensuring the chickens were perfect," Beverly shares. She was so detailed, she even incorporated Mackenzie's wedding colors in the chicken-sized bouquet and garter.

We're so impressed by Beverly's creative spirit. And we wish good 'cluck' to the newlyweds!

Now, they're enjoying spending time in the courtyard, sharing great conversation and watching as their flowers continue to grow.

“Respect, culture and ʻike were a way of life," shares Naomi. "Culture lives on through teaching, dedication and heart.”

Naomi, a resident at Atria El Camino Gardens, is a proud Korean Era U.S. Army veteran, lifelong ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi speaker and respected Loea, or hula master.

Raised in a traditional Hawaiian home, Naomi has spent more than 60 years teaching hula and preserving the language, history and traditions that shaped her life. Today, her students live all around the world, carrying her lessons and legacy with them.

“There’s beauty in becoming – in the slow shaping of a life you are proud to call your own.”

We served it up Creole style at our Taste of Louisiana event.

Residents enjoyed fried okra with remoulade, chicken and sausage jambalaya, and banana bread pudding for dessert!

To top it off, communities screened the movie Where the Crawdads Sing.

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination next month!
