Today I'm bursting with pride because a dream I have been carrying for weeks is finally sitting in front of me bottled, labelled, and ready!

It started at a the Care in Action Cameroon empowerment Submit where participate were taught liquid soap and Vaseline production .

I got inspired right there and then but as the convener of the summit life happened, calls, errands, one activity chasing another and my "I'll do it soon" kept getting pushed.

Weeks later, my dear friend and colleague in public speaking PastorMrs Fuhnukang Yvonne Mbah showed up at my house and said enough is enough. We(Mr Atibuaghesamo Michael and myself) designed my sticker, then to sourcing the bottles, and finally went into production together. Thank you for the push ma, making me create time even when I had little or none.

And today Flora Fresh is here. Made with my own hands, from start to finish with the help of a teacher and experience pro madam Yvonne. ๐Ÿ’š

Yesterday, I had the privilege of speaking at the Hero's Growth Conference 2026 in Bamenda, on the topic "๐™๐™๐™๐™€ ๐™‡๐™€๐˜ผ๐˜ฟ๐™€๐™๐™Ž๐™ƒ๐™„๐™‹" as a guest speaker, at the invitation of Mr Akubom Jordan and his team.

The timing felt personal. I had just come off a week as lead supervisor for the State Registered Nursing exams in my hall, a role I almost turned down out of fear. I stood before the youth of Bamenda and shared exactly what that week taught me about leadership: that it isn't a title, a feeling of confidence, or the absence of fear. It's a responsibility you carry, courage you find before you're ready, and trust you earn in the small, unwatched rooms of everyday life.

I shared with them the Five Pillars I try to lead by Integrity, Accountability, Service, Courage, and Humility and reminded them that leadership doesn't wait for a title. You are already leading the moment you keep a promise, tell the truth when it's inconvenient, or take responsibility before anyone asks you to.

This talk grew out of my recent Certificate in Leadership and Health Management from the University of Washington DC, USA studied online and it was such a joy to bring that learning home and pour it into our youth.

I was afraid to accept my exam supervisor role. Today, I'm grateful I did because it let me guard something bigger than myself. I believe every young person listening can say yes too.

It was truly a privilege to be invited to share this stage. ๐Ÿ™

A role I didn't take lightly, and honestly, I was afraid to accept at first, I ran to beg for a change๐Ÿคฃ but I was reminded that I was capable, and that trust pushed me to rise to it.

Supervising an exam like this isn't just about watching a room. It's about protecting the integrity of a process that shapes the nurses who will one day care for our communities.

Every standard upheld today is a promise kept to the people they'll serve tomorrow.

I am deeply grateful for this privilege to uphold values that have guided this profession for generations and to play a small part in something so much bigger than myself.

To everyone who sat for their exams this week: I am rooting for you. Well done, and all the best ahead.

We connect on social media for different reasons but for me, it's about vibration.

You follow someone because something in what they share moves you, inspires you, motivates you.

So here's my honest reflection today:
๐—œ๐—ณ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—น๐—น๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฒ, ๐˜„๐—ต๐˜† ๐—ป๐—ผ๐˜ ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ? A like, a comment, a share? it costs nothing.

Yet some of us have thousands of followers and post into silence. If their content truly inspires you, that inspiration should show up somewhere.

Otherwise, what is the following for? Are you here to connect, or just to watch?

It's easy to blame "the algorithm" or "this generation," but change doesn't start with we. It starts with I. What can you, individually, do differently today?

I say this because I've felt the real power of genuine connection. Recently, my friend Akubom Jordan Akubom Jordan a fellow TV host from way back at Tildas hosting reached out about a workshop and asked me to be a speaker.

He didn't overthink it; he just believed in what I bring and made space for me in a room I wasn't even expecting.

That's what real connection does, it remembers people and opens doors for them.
Now I'm looking forward to the Heroes Growth Conference 2026, and I'm especially excited to sit once again under the voice of ๐——๐—ฟ. ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐—น one of the speakers who graced my last summit.

I am already thinking about what I'll bring to the young leaders in the room on the topic of leadership and it comes after my rescent studies and award from the university of Washington USA with the leadership course I took.

So today's call is simple:
๐—˜๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐—š๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—น๐˜†. Support the people who inspire you , don't just lurk(stay hidden or move quietly in a place, often while waiting to watch, catch, or attack someone) And thank you Jordan, for thinking of me and pulling me into a room I least expected.

Growing up, highest compliments I have ever received came from the same place people learned to resent me: ๐— ๐˜† ๐— ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต.

Someone would watch me stand up for myself, stand up for someone else, or simply say the truth exactly as it was no filter, no fear of who was standing in the room and they will walk up to me afterward and say, "๐—™๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ, ๐—œ ๐—”๐—ฑ๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฆ๐—ผ ๐— ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ต."

The same thing happens when I am leading, facilitating, speaking at a seminar, doing the thing I believe I was born to do. But that same boldness, that same refusal to shrink the truth for anyone's comfort regardless of status, age, race, or color is also the exact thing that has made me one of the most disliked by people in some rooms I have walked into.

I have had to sit with that contradiction. Should I keep being this bold, or should I quiet myself down so the world finds me easier to like?

I keep coming back to one memory. Back in school, a classmate once claimed I never gave him a contribution that was rightfully his, and the whole class believed him over me because I was the "prefect," the one seen as strict and unreachable, and he was just "one of them," the guy nobody suspected of lying.

So they turned on me. Years later, we started a class association, and he came back and told the truth in front of everyone. Some of them messaged me directly after: "Flora, you really were right all along." That vindication took years. But it came.

So who was actually the problem, the system, me, or the society that so easily sways toward whoever is more relatable in the moment?

Honestly, none of that matters as much as the one court I answer to first: ๐™ˆ๐™” ๐˜พ๐™Š๐™‰๐™Ž๐˜พ๐™„๐™€๐™‰๐˜พ๐™€.

If what I am doing sits right with me, I don't need fifty people to validate it.

YES, if ten, twenty, fifty people are calling you out, that's worth sitting down and reflecting on. But if your conscience is clear and you know you're standing on truth, don't destroy yourself trying to be liked by all of them.

Half of them will come around eventually. I've seen how quickly hatred can gather a crowd against one person not because that person is wrong, but because someone needed numbers behind their own hurt, ego, or agenda. And look at the world we're living in.

People are dying young in their twenties, in their thirties to su***de, to depression, to isolation, to neglect, to the sheer weight of peer pressure and the need to be "accepted" by a crowd that was never really invested in their wellbeing.

There are people I no longer say "good morning" to out loud. I still say it just in my heart, in the peace of the Lord, as I pass by.

Not because I am anti-unity and not because I want anyone else to withhold their peace the way I do mine. It's simply what protects my mental health, my boundaries, my sense of self, in a society that is so porous it convinces people that hate only counts when it's shared by a crowd.

This is my call today: ๐˜ฝ๐™š ๐™”๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐˜ผ๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™˜ ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ก๐™›. Let your conscience lead louder than the noise of the outside world. For years, I made myself the bad one in every story I didn't understand. I carried blame that wasn't always mine questioning myself, my sense, my judgment until time did what only time can do.

People came back and said, "๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜. ๐—œ'๐—บ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐—œ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚."

But here's the funny part;
Most times, that apology comes quietly, at the back, in private. Long after the damage was done in public. The notion has already been planted in people's minds. The story has already been told the way they wanted it told.

Then someone comes to your DM, or pulls you aside, or even cries, saying SoRRY but it's not the same anymore. What was broken in public doesn't heal in whispers.

That's when I started asking a harder question: ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—œ ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐˜† ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—บ? Or was it the people? The situations I kept excusing?

I won't lie, somewhere in this journey, I felt things I didn't expect.
A kind of heat I couldn't explain. I find myself walking past people without a "good morning," not because I am angry, not because I hate(d) anyone, but because something in me pulled back. Quietly. On its own.

Here's what I've learned:

Forgiveness sets your heart free. Distance protects your peace. Both can be true at once.

These days, if I feel negativity around me, I take my part and I go, not with bitterness, just clarity.
Not everyone smiling in your face means you well(This is vice versa). I am learning to see that and to walk away when I need to.

Some people walk into your life looking like destiny sent them. I have a story;

I met a man on a flight once. A stranger who watch me reading the book ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฃ๐—ผ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด and couldn't zip asked some questions, my answers wowed him that he could only ask more then listened as I shared where I came from, the slums, the doubt, the doors that shut on me for not being "enough."

He then opened up too. Told me his own hard story and trust me,i genuinely teared as I listen. Some persons can be in hell abroad, how ever I immediately opened a page in the book I was reading, shared one or two to him to encourage this kind man. We landed as two people who understood each other.

After that, he became my biggest cheerleader. Calling me amazing. Calling me strong. Encouraging me to keep pushing for the people I was trying to help. I believed I had found a genuine well-wisher, the kind of person who shows up not to take, but to lift.

Then one day, the encouragement turned into a proposal. I said ๐—ก๐—ข gently, respectfully, because I wasn't looking for that neither am I opened to it and I valued what we had as something else. Something better, I thought(Yes Genuine Friendship means gold to me).

The very next message, he went cold. The warmth disappeared like it was never real.

Weeks later, I reached out again no anger, just to check on him, to remind him he still had my prayers, to send words of encouragement.

He replied asking who I even was. He couldn't "recall" me and even ask if I could send a picture to bring back my memory, that my number was deleted. Yet he replied using my name โ€” a name I never typed.

He remembered exactly who I was. He just needed me to know I no longer mattered not since I said NO. Then I politely told him, sir you don't need to remember me, thank you much but I assure you of my prayers, yes because when I listened to this man, he is in a lot of mess and pain. Everyone at this point should have a hand of support, care and prayers and that prayers I will give him even in my silence.

I share this not to shame one man, but to ask a question a lot of us are quietly living with:

Why must warmth turn cold the moment a woman says "I appreciate you, but not like that"?

Why is genuine investment in someone's future so rare that when it does happen without conditions, it feels like a miracle instead of the norm?

Real support doesn't disappear when it's not repaid in the currency someone secretly wanted so I think or am I wrong?

If you lift a soul, that soul will sing your praises for life willingly, not by obligation. That's the return worth having.

To the men who can do this differently: you can be the reason someone made it, without needing to be owed anything for it. That kind of help outlives you.

Can we all just get wiser about whose hands you place your story in.

Hi, I am ๐™‰๐™Ÿ๐™š๐™˜๐™  ๐™๐™ก๐™ค๐™ง๐™– ๐™€๐™ฎ๐™š๐™ฃ. A nurse, public health advocate, a mother, and someone who simply refuses to do "just one thing" with her life. ๐Ÿ˜Š

My journey hasn't been a straight easy line either. I grew up raised by a single mother, without a father to hold my hand through it and along the way, I made my share of mistakes and learned many lessons the hard way. But every part of that road shaped the woman I am today, and I carry it with gratitude, not regret.

Leadership has followed me since childhood being a prefect all my life in all schools I attended but At GBHS Bamenda, something happened that had never happened before instead of each class electing its own prefect, I was named the lone prefect over the entire S1-S4. One student, one seat, holding the whole class together.

It taught me early that being at the center of focus is both an honor and a weight(This class was my hardest lesson in leadership and that I could carry it, still wows me).

That leadership thread kept weaving through everything. I served as a Junior Parliamentarian under the United Nations for two years, and in my third year, I was promoted to Regional Coordinator for the Northwest Region and lead in that capacity till my mandate ended.

I am also a certified conscript under the National Civic Service Agency for Participation in Development (NCSAPD), completing a full one summer training then returning the next year as a Monitor where I trained hundred more others along side other Monitors.

As a born Catholic, I also had the privilege of serving as Youth President of my mission station youth ministry for four years, before consciously stepping back as my career took on more weight.

That same discipline carried me into nursing. I graduated top student of my batch in the State Registered Nurse certification exam at Florence Nightingale Higher Institute of Health and Biomedical Sciences, ๐—ฎ ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—น๐˜ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฎ ๐—›๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐—ต ๐——๐—ถ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜, where I now wear three hats at once: District Secretary, chief Partnerships Officer, and Focal Point for Reproductive Health, coordinating partners, building the capacity of healthcare workers, and driving programs in maternal, reproductive, and child health.

I am currently pursuing my Master's in Public Health at the University of Bamenda, and recently earned a Project Management in Global Health certificate and a certificate of leadership and management in health from the University of Washington, USA (Still to write more about my journey schooling online).

Beyond the clinic, I am the vision bearer of Care in Action Cameroon, empowering youth in leadership and community engagement. This year we hosted the Empowerment to Achievement Summit 2026, bringing together health awareness, leadership training, and a free screening exercise that tested over 200 community members for HIV, Hepatitis B, and TB. ๐Ÿ’›

I am also a certified public speaking coach and MC, trained through ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ฎ ๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐˜† where I later returned to train two more batches of upcoming speakers and emcees myself, and have hosted weddings, birthdays, and more.

Even with a mic in my hand, my heart always circles back to nursing. I'm also a certified First Aid volunteer with the Cameroon Red Cross, and I've been honored with the PEEVEE Award for Healthcare Worker & Motivational Speaker and Best in Academics.

Tonight I want to talk about something close to my heart: ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ.

Back in 2017, during the conscript training I attended, Rev Fr Humphrey Tata taught us the ten indisputable qualities of a best friend. He said if someone was missing even one, you couldn't truly call them your best friend.

I held onto those principles. I tried to live them out with someone I called my best friend. We tried we really did. But somewhere along the way, we let go of the promises that kept it alive, and we lost it, a space in my life I have never Filled๐Ÿฅฒ.

I won't lie that loss left something empty in me. But I am grateful to God for the people He's placed on my path since then, because they helped me carry that pain and slowly let it go.

So tonight, this is for everyone out there who has a real friend , someone who is there through thick and thin, someone you can tell anything to, at any time, without fear.

In a world where everything is difficult and life itself is so short, everyone needs a best friend.

Yes, we all do. Someone who can listen without judgment. Someone who is always there. Someone who accepts us above all odds. Someone who acknowledges that I am human, that I can make mistakes, and that those mistakes can be forgiven and forgotten.

So many of us say "I want a best friend, I need a best friend" but I have come to realize it starts with us.

Do we have the qualities we are looking for in someone else? We can't keep reaching for what we ourselves aren't willing to be.

I've seen friendships like this between a man and a woman with no hidden agenda, and between people of the same s*x. Friendships that became closer than family. If you have that in your life, please don't take it for granted.

Take a moment today to appreciate that beautiful soul who stands beside you in the hard seasons. Life gets heavy, and we need each other. When that kind of bond is missing, you feel the gap.

None of us are perfect, we have all fallen short.

So to everyone who has built a friendship that even family couldn't give them, may God keep blessing it. May it go from strength to strength. May you be shielded from evil eyes and evil intentions, and may your bond stay rooted in grace, patience, and love, imperfections and all.

What has your experience been like? Anyone friend you want to shout out too? Let's celebrate them together in the comment, ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐Ÿ‘‡!!!.

A mother doesn't do this alone. When a father hangs the laundry, when family members step in, when a mother is cared for, breastfeeding thrives. Family support isn't optional; it's the foundation of success.

Mothers need good food, clean water, and rest to produce enough milk. Supporting a breastfeeding mother means feeding her too.

Women need breastfeeding friendly spaces everywhere
At home, at work, in public. Every environment should make it easy and dignified for a mother to feed her child. That's how we protect both healthy babies and thriving mothers.

โœ”๏ธ Initiate breastfeeding within the first hour of birth
โœ”๏ธ Exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months no water, no other foods

Breastfeeding isn't just nutrition it's protection, bonding, and the best start in life. ๐Ÿ’š
