The Misfits of Double Play đŸ€˜đŸŒ

There’s just something about smokin’ balls straight into the creek at 9am on a Sunday with the boys.

Kept the degeneracy at a moderate level.

2025 Double Play Build Your Community Golf Classic was a blast.

Focus on the process, not the outcome.

Too many times we get caught up in the end goal that we forget we have to execute certain steps properly to make it there.

I had some athletes running timed 5-10-5s today, one went and then the other.

The second one was so focused on beating his friend’s time that he was reaching in his strides and nearly falling over just trying to win.

Gave him some tips and mentioned “focus on the process not the outcome” and he dropped one tenth of a second on his second trial and looked smoother.

When we focus on HOW to achieve a certain goal vs. solely focusing on the end product, we give ourself a roadmap to the final destination, and that will always be easier to execute.

Be about it.

If you want something in this life, you can’t be partially in.

This goes for career, training, nutrition, hobbies (if you want to be good).

Too many people see the success of individuals but don’t realize the time and sacrifice it took them to get there or the amount of passion they have for their craft.

You have to eat, sleep, and breathe it. We all know this but it hits different when you’re fully engulfed with it.

I had someone ask me about my schedule and told them I’ve been taking clients Monday-Sunday, not because I have to in order to make ends meet, but because I enjoy working with athletes and my two clients last Sunday were two athletes.

If I told you I had the opportunity to train 2 more athletes but I didn’t want to work on Sundays, how would that look
?

No half sends baby, be about it. đŸ€˜đŸŒ

“Repeatedly performing the same action while hoping for a different outcome is considered illogical or foolish.”

Some may define this as insanity.

Hammering the same training split, same exercise, same nutrition protocol, and/or the same methods in training
and still not progressing?

I promise you it’s most likely not that you’re missing AG1 from your diet
it’s probably because you’re the person in the prior paragraph.

Switching up your training doesn’t have to mean an entire overhaul, the same with your nutrition. This also doesn’t mean what you were doing prior won’t ever work - it’s likely just not working RIGHT NOW.

Making a subtle switch in training and nutrition could be a breakthrough and if it is, that’s freaking awesome - if not, reach out to someone and get an outside perspective on the subject.

Send me a message if you’re stuck or want a second opinion. đŸ€˜đŸŒ

Side quest to Vermont for some sick powder.

Drove up Saturday afternoon and shredded all morning/afternoon Sunday.

Got to Pico, boarded in some crazy wind and snow. They ended up shutting down a few lifts because of the weather so we ended up finishing the day at Killington, which was sick because those tickets were about $200 more per day, but the passes were free due to weather.

Ended up having to park on the side of the mountain, which was convenient because we were able to board right up to the cars at the end of the day.

Took me an extra hour to get home because of the weather today but overall an absolutely stellar weekend. đŸ€˜đŸŒ
