To all the mothers today — the ones who carried, raised, nurtured, loved, grieved, hoped, stepped in, let go, kept going, and gave what they could with what they had.

Motherhood exists in many forms, and every story carries both beauty and challenge. Today is a celebration for some and a tender day for others. However this day feels for you, your experience matters.

As a mental health therapist, I want to remind you:
You do not have to be perfect to be meaningful.
Your presence, care, and love make a difference.

Wishing comfort, appreciation, and support to all mothers and mother figures today. 💐

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🌿

A gentle reminder: your mental health matters just as much as your physical health. You don’t have to carry everything on your own, and you don’t have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to ask for support.

Healing isn’t linear. Some days will feel lighter, others heavier—and both are part of the process.

This month, consider:
• Checking in with yourself honestly
• Setting one small boundary
• Reaching out for support if you need it
• Offering compassion—to yourself and others

You are allowed to take up space, to rest, and to heal.

🧠 A little truth from your therapist — said with so much love:
One hour of therapy every two weeks is a beautiful start. But on its own? It's not enough to create the change you're hoping for. One hour that is surrounded by 335 others.
Think of it this way — it's like hiring a personal trainer, showing up once a week, and then wondering why the scale isn't moving. The trainer can give you every tool, every strategy, every bit of encouragement in the world... but they can't do the reps for you. 💙
That's not a criticism. That's just how change works.
The real growth happens in the quiet moments between our sessions. The deep breath before you respond instead of react. The boundary you hold even when it's uncomfortable. The journal entry at 10pm when your thoughts won't quiet down. The small, unglamorous, incredibly brave daily practice.
I am always in your corner. But I need you in your corner too.
If you've been feeling stuck in your healing journey, gently ask yourself:
👉 Am I practicing the tools we talk about?
👉 Am I showing up for myself between sessions?
👉 What's one small thing I could do this week?
You don't have to do it perfectly. You just have to do it.

Healing isn't something that happens to you in my office — it's something you build, one small choice at a time. And I get to walk alongside you while you do.

✨ Introducing the Rooted & Rising Series ✨

A space created for connection, education, and empowerment—because understanding your body shouldn’t feel confusing or overwhelming… it should feel grounding, supportive, and inspiring.

Rooted & Rising is a community-centered series designed to walk alongside girls and families through the natural transitions of the female body—from the early stages of development all the way through menopause. Each class will open the door for honest conversations, practical education, and a deeper sense of confidence in what your body is doing and why.

What makes this series extra special? You’ll hear from multiple trusted local providers—each bringing their own expertise and perspective to help support and guide you through these important topics in a well-rounded, approachable way.

🌿 Save the Date for our first class:
Rooted & Rising: Understanding Your Changing Body
📅 April 25, 2026

This first session will focus on the foundations—basic anatomy, what to expect through the menstrual cycle, and how hormones can influence energy, mood, and more—all in a warm, welcoming environment designed to make these conversations feel easier for both girls and parents.

If you’ve been looking for a way to start these conversations with confidence and support… this is it. 💛

Easter is often a season of renewal, hope, and new beginnings—but it can also bring up complex emotions.

If today feels heavy instead of joyful, you’re not alone. Healing doesn’t follow a holiday timeline. It’s okay to hold both gratitude and grief, peace and pain.

Let this be your reminder:
🌿 You are allowed to rest
🌿 You are allowed to feel
🌿 You are allowed to begin again—at your own pace

Wishing you gentle moments of hope, in whatever way you need them today.

“If you’re not willing to have it, you’ve got it.”

Avoidance doesn’t make things disappear—it often gives them more power. The thoughts we push away, the feelings we don’t want, the hard conversations we avoid… they tend to stick around a little longer.

Healing isn’t about getting rid of everything uncomfortable. It’s about learning to sit with it, understand it, and move through it.

What you’re willing to face, you can change.
What you avoid, tends to stay.
