Ten years ago, I took a big leap of faith. I was a new mom, a yoga teacher and personal trainer, and I was about to announce that I was offering Washington County’s first Yoga Teacher Training.
The original idea was to train more people to teach yoga well, however, the program became so much more.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the honor of supporting dozens of students in growing their confidence, resilience, self-trust and ability to be present.
In that first class, I began assigning students the “homework” of starting a 5-minute home practice. They could practice longer of course, but setting the baseline as 5 minutes made it doable, even on busy days.
Those 5-minutes sessions remain in the program 10 years later, as students discover that just 5 minutes of yoga can:
- reduce stress in ways you can feel
- improve concentration and mental clarity for hours
- improve mobility & posture
- help practicing yoga become a habit
As I gear up for our next 200 hour training, (starting in October) I had an idea to share the magic of short practices with my community; I’ve been building a Mini-Class library & membership!
Inside the Mini-Class library, you’ll find bite-size yoga, mindfulness, breath work, and stress relieving movement practices that fit into your life at 5, 10, or 30 minutes long.
If a collection of short, nourishing classes sounds like something you'd love, let me know in the comments with MINI, or send me a message. I'd love to share more of the mini-class magic!
