Heartfordixie Dixie's fight against CHD Dixie was born with a CHD which is Congenital Heart Defect as well as CF which is Cystic Fiborsis Louis ,Missouri so her and her daddy took a flight to St.

Dixie was born on June 27th, 2011 we thought we were bringing home a healthy baby so beautiful never cried after a few days she started to sleep more lying her on my chest getting mommy baby time one day my mom came over she picked up the baby to love on her and she noticed that Dixie was sweating we checked her called the local doctors office and told them that Dixie was a little blue around h

er lips and she was sweaty and very clammy the doctor told us sometimes babies do that, well me and daddy knew better than that so we took her to the local ER and there the same doctor that told me that babies do that sometimes accused us of hurting our baby they kicked us out of the room, I never felt so hurt in my life I would of never hurt my baby, my blood, my life the doctor came out and told us that she was really sick and that they need to life flight her to Columbia, Missouri so they did and we followed behind by the time we got there , They had a doctor in there his name was Doctor Draper he told us that Dixie was very sick and that they had to put her in to a coma they told us that she had Dextrocradia, Tricuspid Atresia and Transposition of the Great Arteries and that there was nothing else that they could do for her and that they are going to flight her to St. Louis it took me and my momma 2 hours to drive there do to me having a C-section I was not able to do the flight there but when we got there she was hooked up to at least 15 different lines tube in her mouth to help her breathe I will never forget how that looked my baby was hanging on for her life July 12, 2011 was the day she had surgery she had what was called the Hybrid Procedure it took her a month and a half to heal from that after being home we got a call from the hospital in St. Louis telling us that she had Cystic Fibrosis and that we needed to see a Pulmonary Doctor Dixie has been in and out of the hospital for little things and infection she has a Gtube a nissen and other small surgery’s she was to get her second surgery but they but it off cause the don’t expect her to live through it and they don’t expect her to live tell she is 6 or 7 if she doesn’t get it .
