💜✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MEET TARA! ✨💜

Ohhhh, where do we even BEGIN with this one?! 😂💕

Meet Tara, our daytime supervisor, resident schedule queen, and affectionately known as MAMA TARA! 👑

Tara has been part of the Recovery Plus family for over TWO YEARS, and let us tell you... she's been an absolute GAME CHANGER for our team!

With a wealth of medical knowledge and a background working with Alzheimer's patients, Tara came equipped with patience, compassion, and the kind of sense of humor you NEED to survive the daily shenanigans around here! 🤣

And here's the thing about Tara... the ORNERIER they are, the MORE she loves them! 😂💜

She's got a heart of gold, loves the Lord, and genuinely walks out her faith every single day. But don't get it twisted! When Mama Tara brings the heat, SHE MEANS BUSINESS! 🔥 She's the perfect combination of love, accountability, and a little bit of "don't make me tell you twice!" 😂

And can we talk about her organizational skills?! 📋 This woman manages the master schedule for 15–20 grown women! Doctor appointments, psychiatric providers, specialists, counseling, transportation, IDs, Social Security cards... you name it, Tara is figuring out how to make it happen! If there's a schedule to organize, she's our girl!

🎶 Favorite music? Brandon Lake! 🎤🙌

🐆 Favorite color? "Is leopard print a color? Because it is to me." 😂 GIRL, YES IT IS!

📖 Hobbies? Reading and studying the Bible, Bible journaling, and family movie nights! And if you know Tara, you KNOW she loves a good planner! 🖊️💕

☕ Can't live without? BIBLES AND COFFEE! Because apparently the Word of God and a good cup of coffee are the perfect way to start a day! 🙌☕️

🎬 Fun fact? Tara was in TWO commercials as a kid! Excuse us, we have a childhood celebrity on staff?! ⭐🤣

💜 Favorite thing about Recovery Plus?

We've got a new face at Recovery Plus, and we think it's time you got to know her! 🥳

Meet Shaylynn Whitaker, one of the newest Recovery Technicians to join our team!

Shaylynn is a dedicated mama with a BIG heart for women who are fighting to get their lives back. She's sweet, energetic, compassionate, and definitely not afraid to speak her mind! 💪 She's already shown us that she values accountability, honesty, and doing the right thing, even when it's not the easiest thing.

💕 𝐋𝐄𝐓'𝐒 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐋𝐘𝐍𝐍! 💕

🎶 Music taste? EVERYTHING! She can go from heavy metal to dubstep to opera in just THREE songs. Talk about musical whiplash! 🤣

🖤 Favorite color? BLACK! Because, according to Shaylynn, it has all the colors in it!

🎮 Hobbies? Pokémon, The Sims, and doing full-glam makeup! But her favorite way to spend her free time is with her kids, doing whatever they're into that day. 🥰

☕ Can't live without? COFFEE. No hesitation. No explanation needed. 😂

🤣 Fun fact? Y'all... Shaylynn spelled her own name WRONG for 22 YEARS! Turns out her birth certificate said "Shay-Lynn." Don't worry, she's got it straightened out now! 😭😂

💜 Favorite thing about Recovery Plus?

"My favorite thing is the girls. Hands down. I look forward to seeing them and DON'T TELL THEM but I kinda miss them when I'm gone 🤫 The amount of support I have received freshly starting has been incredible!! I really feel like I've found my place 🖤"

There's something special about watching a new team member find where she belongs, and Shaylynn is already making her mark! She's approached this new chapter with transparency, integrity, and a willingness to learn, and we're excited for everything ahead.

UPDATE: THANK YOU EVERYONE!! We have everything that we need to make sure our ladies are outfitted for the upcoming winter. Our community really came through on this one!! Y'all are AMAZING!!

As the temperatures start dropping, we're working to make sure every lady at Recovery Plus for Women is ready for winter! ❄️

Our ladies spend a lot of time walking outdoors, whether they're heading to appointments, attending meetings, or simply going about their daily routines. And Kentucky winters are no joke! 🥶

We're asking our amazing community to help us collect gently used women's winter coats! 🧥

That coat you haven't worn in two years? It could be exactly what one of our ladies needs this winter!

💗 A warm coat may seem like a small thing, but to a woman working hard to rebuild her life, it's one less worry and one more reminder that her community is cheering her on.
