Tim David Armentrout, 77, of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Tim’s family will hold a private graveside service with military honors at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
He was born on April 18, 1949, in Tecumseh, Michigan, to Robert and Jacqueline (Knauss) Armentrout. Tim married the love of his life, Joyce Ursum, on May 4, 1974, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. As a child, Tim was in the Boy Scouts of America, where he achieved the Scouts highest honor, becoming an Eagle Scout. He was a 1967 graduate of Manchester High School and went on to attend Washtenaw Community College, where he graduated with an Associates in Architecture. Tim was in the Navy where he served in the Vietnam War, receiving a Bronze Star. He worked at the University of Michigan Hospital for 21 years, retiring in 2012. Tim attended Life House Ministries in Tipton, Michigan. Tim and Joyce are founding members of the Washtenaw Co. VVA #310.
Tim will be missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce; and his children, Joelle (Eric) Cottrell; he is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tod Armentrout

Richard Chamberlain Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Clarklake, Michigan, with the love of his life, Patricia, by his side.
Richard was born to Richard Chamberlain Sr. and Goldie Chamberlain. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Beverly Brzozowski.
For more than 60 years, Richard shared a beautiful life and an enduring love with his wife, Patricia. Together, they danced through a lifetime of memories, adventures, laughter, and love. Patricia was, without question, the love of his life and his favorite person in the world. Their story was one of true partnership, devotion, and a love that only grew stronger with time.
Richard was a man who lived a remarkable and adventurous life. He proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and was also honored as an honorary member of the Air Force. He later became a commercial pilot, flying both DC-8 and 747 jets—a career that suited his larger-than-life personality perfectly.

When he wasn't flying through the skies, Richard could usually be found doing something interesting or unusual, or slightly mischievous. His many hobbies included waterskiing, running, forging knives, antique dealing, metal detecting, and coin collecting. He loved riding his Harley motorcycle with his little dog spike and his MasterCraft boat, he had a lifelong curiosity that always seemed to lead him into his next adventure....

Daniel Joseph Durand, 67,of Napoleon, Michigan passed away on August 17, 2026. Daniel’s family and friends held a private gathering at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel.

He was born on July 18, 1959, in St. Clair, Michigan, to Leroy Durand and Clara (Zieldorff). Daniel married the love of his life, Jackie, on March 17, 2018, in Grass Lake, Michigan. Daniel was a family man first and loved spending time with his friends. His other love was his Harley Davison Motorcycle and his beloved dog Willow, who also shares the same birthday as Daniel and turned 9 this year. You could often find Daniel and Willow sitting on the couch watching television and sharing snacks. Daniel was a very knowledgeable man who knew a lot about everything and loved to share his knowledge and funny jokes with anyone, no one was a stranger to Daniel, he could find something to talk about with anyone! If you knew Daniel, you would know he has a great passion for grilling and using his deep fryer, often being called the “ Grill Master” of the family. Traveling was another passion Daniel loved to do in his spare time.

Jeffery Scott Hammerberg, 65, passed away on August 14, 2026.
He was born on February 12, 1961, in Big Rapids, Michigan to Gary and Carol (Wayne) Hammerberg. Jeff attended Loy Norrix High School and went on to Graduate from Western Michigan University. He will be remembered for his love of golf, fly fishing, snowboarding, ci**rs, playing Chess and deep diving into genealogy. Jeff was a passionate fan of Michigan Football.

Timothy Judson Turvey, 65, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on August 16th, 2026. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska and raised in Michigan. He graduated from Manchester High School and started his working years in manufacturing. He worked for Dextech in Dexter, starting as a welder and then working in robotics and traveling to Canada and other sites for automotive installs. Always wanting more for his family, he became a carpenter and soon co-founded Great Lakes Ceiling and Carpentry in Ann Arbor. Tim worked long hours as President of the company for nearly 30 years, and with his partner, built a successful business that continues today.
Beyond his professional success, Tim was defined by a big heart and compassion for others. He was a champion for the underdog, quietly donating to many causes. He was always just a phone call away, ready to lend a helping hand to friends, family and anyone struggling.
As a lifelong Michigander, Tim loved everything about his home state. From being out on the water in his boat to spending time "up north" at his property riding four-wheelers. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and joy in fishing, hunting, and enjoying everything Michigan’s great outdoors has to offer.
His household was defined by quick wit, heavy sarcasm and a constant soundtrack of music. Tim always had a joke ready, and if you knew him long enough, you were guaranteed to earn one of his signature nicknames. He...

James Clarence Schneider, passed away on August 11, 2026. James’ family will gather privately at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel for a private family service. Gathering will take place Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:00am, at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00am.
He was born on November 1, 1949, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Clarence and Viola (Zahn) Schneider. James graduated from Chelsea High School and went on to eventually own his own business. He attended St. Thomas Lutheran Church. James loved animals and played drums in his younger years. James was extremely passionate about Michigan athletics, especially Michigan Football and Michigan Basketball.
James is survived by his siblings, William (Judy), Katherine (Kevin) and Carl (Patti); many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Kent.

Duane Lee Ely, 88, of Horton, Mi , passed away on August 13, 2026. Duane’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 10:00 am at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel, with his service beginning at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park following full military honors. Pastor Jeff Sheeks will officiate.

Duane was born on September 4, 1937, in Jackson, MI, to Charles W. Ely and Myrtle C. (Springer) Ely. Duane married the love of his life, Sharley, in the year 1971, in Jackson, Michigan. He will be remembered as someone who truly enjoyed life. Duane found happiness in fishing, hunting deer and turkey; he also loved taking pontoon rides around the lake. Duane also loved camping, traveling as well as spending time with his friends and family. He was a Screw Machine Operator with his final employer, GM Hydromantic Plant in Ypsilanti. Duane served his country proudly and honorably as a Seaman in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3634.

Duane will be missed by his wife Sharley; his step children, David Berry; Beverly (Donald Jr.) Martin, Allen (Letty) Berry; grandchildren, Donald Martin III, Greg Martin, Amber Berry, Ashley Berry, Angela Crane, Mark Crane and Christina Hammond; and several great and great-great grandchildren. Allan J.F. Faulds, 87, passed away quietly at home with his family by his side on August 5, 2026, in Brooklyn, Michigan.

Allan’s family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 29, from 10:00 am. to 12:00 pm. at Eineder Funeral Home, Brooklyn Chapel.

Allan was born on December 7, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, to Henry and Martha (Wenke) Faulds. He graduated from DeVillbis High School in Toledo. Allan worked as a barber for 12 years before transitioning to General Motors in Toledo, where he retired after 30 years.

In his youth, he built a Sailfish sailboat and spent many weekends sailing on area lakes with his wife, Emily. They also enjoyed taking short trips on his BSA motorcycle—until he sold it to help pay the hospital bill for their daughter’s birth. They were proud to build their home on the lake and enjoyed gardening, boating, and spending time with their grandsons. Allan and Emily also enjoyed traveling with family and friends.

Allan will be missed by his children, Emily Zeiger and Peter (Jackie) Faulds; his sister, Margaret Strawbridge; and his grandsons, Scott and Pete Zeiger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily; his parents, Henry and Martha Faulds; and his grandson, Stuart.

Connie’s family and friends will gather 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Vigil Scripture service at 6:00pm, on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church at 10:00am, with Mass at 11:00am and burial following at St Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery. Father Bosco Padamattummal will serve as celebrant.

She was born on June 7, 1955, in Farmington, Michigan, to Lucas and Mabel (Miles) Millenbach. Connie graduated from Harrison High School and went on to attend and graduate from the University of Michigan (School of Natural Resources).

Connie married the love of her life, James Achtenberg, on November 9, 1984, in Brooklyn, Michigan. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. Connie will also be remembered for her volunteer work in the office at St. Mary’s, where she also served many years as a lector. Connie loved camping and hiking, bird watching and listening to the wildlife with her family and spending time with her dog, Agate. She loved Mackinac Island and was an ardent enthusiast of the state of Michigan, where she was able to make it to all 83 counties. Shirley Ann Eastman, 86, of Spring Arbor, Michigan, passed away on August 8, 2026. She was born on April 4th, 1940, in Hudson, Michigan, daughter to the late Wendall C. Taylor and Dorothy Worden Taylor. Proceeded in death by her two loves of her life, Raynor D. Pawson and Charles J Eastman; sons and daughter -in- law, Ricky and Bonnie Pawson; Sherm, Johnny, Ivan, Bobby Eastman and one brother Lawrence Taylor.

Shirley will be missed by her daughter Tracy (Terry) Davis and son Michael (Ronda) Eastman; Two daughter in laws, Carol Eastman; all from Jackson. Carol Eastman of Kentucky; Brother and sister-in-law Tom and Sue Taylor of Adrian, Sandy Taylor of Georgia; and 90 grandchildren.

Mom loved camping and people watching, she was a member of the Lioness for many years. She worked as a cook at many restaurants for several years and custodian at Michigan Center Schools and retired from Pilot Industries.
