This is such a fun stage to come in and see your little one!

At 15–16 weeks, baby is still very small and rapidly developing. While we may offer brief moments of 3D/4D imaging, it’s important to know what to expect at this gestation.

👶 What you may see at 15–16 weeks:✨ Baby wiggling, stretching, and moving around✨ Sweet early movements captured in 4D✨ Early facial structure forming✨ Clear “outline” views of baby in 3D/4D✨ Gender confirmation in classic 2D black-and-white ultrasound imaging

💡 Just a gentle reminder:

At this stage, baby is still tiny, so 3D/4D images will not yet have the full, chubby, detailed facial features many parents imagine. You’ll mostly see outlines and early features as baby continues to grow. Gender confirmation at this gestation is performed using traditional 2D black-and-white imaging.

✨ If you’re hoping for those full, detailed, chubby-cheek 3D/4D images, we recommend waiting until the ideal window:

That is when baby has more facial fat development, and we can capture those beautiful, detailed keepsake images families love.

Week 13 💛 Heartbeat Ultrasound Package

At 13 weeks, baby is growing quickly and beginning to take on more defined features. During your 2D heartbeat ultrasound, families often start to get a clearer glimpse of what baby is beginning to look like.

You may notice a small profile forming, tiny facial features developing, and little movements as baby stretches or shifts around. Everything is still delicate at this stage, but this is often the appointment where families begin to say, “That really looks like our baby.”

If you are expecting twins, you’ll be able to see two separate babies, each with their own heartbeat and movement. They may be active at different times or resting in different positions, making each scan a unique and special experience.

This visit is all about connection—seeing baby, hearing that heartbeat, and enjoying a calm, memorable moment with your little one(s). 💛
