Indigenous Wellbriety

Indigenous Wellbriety Indigenous Peer Recovery coaches are trained and certified in peer recovery utilizing the Wellbriety model (White Bison, Inc.). Welcome to our page.

We provide Adult Wellbriety Talking Circles, Family Talking Circles, Youth Talking Circles at SWOS, One-on-One Peer Coaching, Street Outreach and sober-family friendly community activities and events. Indigenous Wellbriety was created to fill the gaps in resources for those wishing to connect spiritually and utilizing Wellbriety for Indigenous and spiritual community members who are seeking assist

ance in substance use and alcohol addiction. The organization is fiscally sponsored by United Way Southwest Colorado. Funding has been attained from local and state wide grants to provide Wellbriety Talking Circles, peer-to-peer coaching, street outreach and sober-led, family-friendly community events. We provide advocacy for our program participants in accessing community resources and the opportunity to do community services and volunteer. IW team collaborates with the Sih Hasin Street Medicine program to provide street outreach for our homeless relatives. IW aims to collaborate and capacity build with our local organizations in Montezuma County and neighboring counties in the southwest Colorado regions along with including Ute Tribal community members.

ALICE'S FRY BREAD AT THE CORTEZ CULTURAL CENTER
You know that feeling when you see fry bread at the fair or festival and need to immediately get in line and order like four? Good news, we got you covered!

Alice sets up her Fry Bread Station during our nightly Native American Performances at the Cortez Cultural Center almost every day we are open (weather dependant) from 6pm - 7pm Tuesday thru Saturday.

Fresh. Hot. Golden. Crispy. Drizzled with honey or dusted with sugar or cinnamon. A treat you can experience over and over until the dances end in August.
