Aloka the Peace Dog was once a stray who joined the venerable monks during their 110-day pilgrimage across India and Nepal. His journey from abandonment to becoming an “ambassador of peace” reminds us that every creature deserves love, care, and a chance at a peaceful life.

In honor of Aloka and his mission of peace, we warmly invite you to extend compassion to animals in need:

🐕 Visit your local animal shelter and consider adopting, fostering, or volunteering
🐾 Help animals in need in your community - whether stray, abandoned, or requiring medical care
💝 Make a donation to support shelters and rescue organizations
✨ Name your rescued friend “Aloka” or “Peace” as a living reminder that every act of kindness ripples outward into the world

Finding the right support is an important step toward healing and growth. At Life With Ease Counseling, I provide compassionate psychotherapy for individuals in Waynesville, Lake Junaluska, and surrounding communities. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), combined with mindfulness practices that foster calm and connection. These integrative methods help clients process trauma, ease anxiety, navigate grief, and move through life transitions with greater resilience. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore challenges, develop new coping skills, and move toward a more authentic, fulfilling life.
