When the baby latches perfectly on the FIRST try… 🙌🏽😂

LC: “Okay, let’s get you latched…”
Baby: “Say less.” 😭😂

That moment when you’re ready for a whole troubleshooting session and baby comes in like “I understood the assignment.” 🍼👏🏽

Sometimes the latch just clicks—and when it does, it’s a beautiful thing! 💕

🍼 How often should your breastfed baby eat?

Newborns typically breastfeed 8–12 times in 24 hours, but every baby is different! Feeding frequency can change with growth spurts, cluster feeding, and your baby’s individual needs. 🤍

Instead of watching the clock, look for signs that your baby is getting enough milk—regular wet diapers, active swallowing, satisfaction after feeds, and appropriate weight gain.

If you’re wondering whether your baby is feeding enough or you have concerns about latch, supply, or weight gain, you don’t have to figure it out alone. A lactation consultant can help! 💕🍼

Breastfeeding doesn’t have an expiration date. 🤱🏽💗

Human milk continues to provide valuable nutrition, immune support, and bioactive components well beyond the first year. Yet many families receive less support once their baby reaches 12 months.

Evidence-based education and ongoing lactation support can help families feel confident continuing for as long as breastfeeding works for them. Every breastfeeding journey is different—and every family deserves informed, judgment-free support. 💕

📚 Support. Educate. Empower. Normalize extended breastfeeding.

Let’s continue creating spaces where Black mothers feel safe asking questions, getting help, and reaching their breastfeeding goals.

🍼 Did you know? Feeding length isn’t the best way to tell if your baby is getting enough milk.

Some feeds are quick, while others take longer—and that can be completely normal. Instead of watching the clock, look for signs of effective feeding like swallowing, active sucking, adequate diapers, and appropriate weight gain.

And if your baby suddenly wants to nurse constantly… cluster feeding can be normal too! 💛

Every baby is different, and breastfeeding doesn’t always look the same from one feeding to the next.

✨ Save this post for those “Is my baby getting enough?” moments!
