Snow alert! 🌨️ As winter storms impact Massachusetts, make sure your kitchen is ready.
Stock Your Pantry: Use your WICShopper app to ensure you’ve used your monthly benefits on shelf-stable staples like peanut butter, canned veggies, and whole-grain pasta.
Power Outage Tip: Keep your fridge closed! It can keep food safe for up to 4 hours, and a full freezer stays cold for up to 48 hours.
Avoid the Rush: Check your benefit balance early so you don't have to brave the icy roads at the last minute!
Stay safe and stay home if you can, MA! 🏠❄️

WIC welcomes men! WIC recognizes the important role fathers, grandparents, stepparents, and other guardians play
in caring for kids. Fathers and other caregivers of kids under 5 are encouraged to enroll and bring kids to appointments,
attend nutrition and health workshops, and use WIC in the grocery stores.

Feeding your preschooler can sometimes feel challenging! Since kids often do better with routines, offering meals and snacks at about the same time each day can be helpful. Most kids will need 3 meals and 2 snacks duinrg the day. You can involve them by offering choices based on what you have and inviting them to help you when its possible. Reach out to your WIC nutritionist if you have questions about feeding your child. https://ow.ly/uO1250RbNr8

Encouraging your children to eat more veggies is so important. You can slowly introduce them to new foods by adding them to the meals they already love. Any amount is better than none! Try adding spinach and red bell peppers to their quesadillas or adding corn and peas to your Spanish rice. 😋
