One of the most common questions we get after PICO tattoo removal is, “Are these blisters normal?” The answer is yes!

Blisters are a completely normal response that can occur in the days following treatment. They can range from tiny, barely noticeable blisters to larger fluid-filled blisters—and both can be part of the normal healing process. Their size can vary depending on the tattoo, the amount and color of ink, the location on the body, and how your skin responds to treatment.

Seeing blisters does not mean anything is wrong or that your treatment was unsuccessful. It’s simply your body’s natural response as it begins breaking down and clearing the tattoo pigment.

✨ Leave any blisters intact, keep the area clean, and continue following your aftercare instructions. Your body knows what to do!
