When courts chase businesses instead of bad actors, you pay the price.

Chicago's lawsuit against Kia and Hyundai isn't just about 2 car companies. It's a warning sign for every business, employer, and consumer in Illinois.

When manufacturers can be held liable for crimes they didn't commit, those costs get passed on — through higher prices, higher insurance premiums, and businesses that decide Illinois isn't worth the legal risk.

Chicago's response? Sue the manufacturer.

Not a single car thief is held accountable in this lawsuit. The thieves who terrorized Chicago neighborhoods walk free. Meanwhile, a company that made a legal product gets dragged into Cook County court.
