Fathers, this is for you 🫵

Many men go years without seeing a doctor. No imaging. No follow-up. No real look at what’s happening inside.
Men are statistically less likely to schedule preventive care, often waiting until something feels seriously wrong. But many conditions do not wait for symptoms.

Things like aortic aneurysms, kidney stones, fatty liver disease, and some early-stage cancers can develop silently for years.
Prostate issues affect 1 in 2 men over 50, and cancers like testicular and colon cancer are far more treatable when caught early.

The challenge? Standard bloodwork and a quick physical may not show these changes. Some things need imaging to be seen.

Because feeling fine is not always the same as being fine.

“If MRIs are so important… why doesn’t insurance cover them?”

It’s one of the most common questions we hear at Dragonfly.

The frustrating truth? Most insurance systems are built around reactive healthcare, not preventive care. No symptoms often means no coverage.

But many serious conditions, including heart disease, stroke risk, and some cancers, can develop quietly for years before symptoms ever appear.

Preventive imaging is about looking sooner, not later, when more options may still exist and treatment can be less invasive.

And while whole body MRI is not typically covered by insurance, Dragonfly accepts FSA and HSA to help make proactive care more accessible.

Because when it comes to your health, waiting for symptoms can cost more than money. It can cost time.

One of the biggest reasons people delay getting scanned is not fear of the results—it’s fear of the experience itself. 🧠

Many standard MRI machines have weight limits or narrow spaces that can make patients feel uncomfortable, discouraged, or even unable to complete a scan. That’s not a personal failure. It’s a healthcare accessibility gap.

But avoiding imaging does not make health concerns disappear. Conditions like fatty liver disease, cardiovascular disease, visceral fat accumulation, and some cancers can develop silently over time.

At Dragonfly, our imaging systems are designed to accommodate a wider range of body types—helping create a more accessible and comfortable scanning experience.

Because everyone deserves the same standard of care and the same opportunity to better understand what’s happening inside their body.

Endometriosis is not just a “bad period.” 🩸

It’s considered one of the more painful chronic gynecologic conditions, with many women describing symptoms comparable to appendicitis or kidney stones.

Yet many are told it’s simply part of their cycle. Delayed diagnosis is common, and for some women, getting answers can take years.

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, affecting areas like the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or pelvis—leading to inflammation, scarring, and significant pain.

The good news? Treatment options exist, and imaging such as MRI may help identify cysts or related findings that support more informed next steps.

Because being told “it’s normal” shouldn’t be the end of the story.

“Would you rather know… or wait?”

Some people hear about whole-body MRI and think: “What if you find something that turns out to be nothing?”
And it’s true—sometimes imaging identifies findings that are ultimately benign.

But here’s the bigger question: what if it finds something important?

Many serious conditions can develop silently for years, only becoming noticeable after symptoms appear—when evaluation and treatment may become more complex.

A whole-body MRI is about clarity. About looking deeper and gaining more insight into your health before problems become more advanced.

Because if something turns out to be nothing, that can bring reassurance. But if it’s something significant, knowing earlier may make a meaningful difference.

90 years ago, physicist Isidor Rabi discovered that atomic nuclei absorb and re-emit radio waves in a magnetic field. At the time, it was purely a breakthrough in physics.'

Then in the 1970s, Dr. Raymond Damadian demonstrated that different tissues respond differently to those signals—laying the groundwork for MRI in medicine. Early scans took hours, and the images were difficult to interpret. But it changed the future of imaging forever.

Today, a Dragonfly whole-body MRI can be completed in under an hour. No ionizing radiation. No surgery. A detailed look at the brain, spine, organs, and soft tissues—all reviewed by board-certified radiologists.

Modern MRI technology can help identify a wide range of structural and anatomical findings, sometimes before symptoms appear.

What started as a physics discovery became one of the most advanced imaging tools in modern medicine.

Health trends in the U.S. are changing—and younger generations are being affected earlier than many people expect. 📊
Recent research has shown rising rates of certain early-onset cancers, particularly involving digestive health, with growing attention on neurological and metabolic health trends as well.
Why is this happening?
Researchers are still working to better understand the causes. Factors like lifestyle, environment, diet, and overall health patterns are all being studied, but no single explanation has been confirmed.
The most important thing you can do is stay informed, pay attention to your body, and advocate for your health.
Awareness matters. Prevention matters. Early evaluation matters. 🩺✨

Are you treating your health like a slot machine?

Right now, an estimated 2–3% of adults have a brain aneurysm, and many remain undiagnosed.

Too often, we approach health like a gamble—hoping nothing is wrong and waiting for symptoms to tell us otherwise.

That’s where preventive care can make a difference.

Instead of waiting for warning signs, a proactive approach may help identify potential concerns earlier and support more informed next steps.

Because when it comes to your health, hoping is not a strategy.

Ultrasound ≠ MRI.

A lot of people think they’ve already been fully checked because an ultrasound came back normal.
And while ultrasound is incredibly useful, it serves a different purpose.

Ultrasound uses sound waves and is often faster, more focused, and helpful for specific areas. But it can have limitations.

MRI uses magnetic fields to create detailed images of soft tissue and organs, offering a broader view that may help identify structural changes ultrasound cannot.

Because getting checked and getting fully evaluated are not always the same.
