Finding Your Inner Calm

Finding Your Inner Calm Hi, I’m Michele. Helping people stay connected to themselves when someone they love is struggling. Loving without losing yourself.

Relational complexity, emotional steadiness, and self-reconnection. Hi, I’m Michele, founder of Recreate Balance. With 20+ years in holistic health, I now support caregivers, trauma survivors, and sensitive humans through EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and nervous system-informed somatic care. I’m a QMHA in Oregon, trained in EFT PS1 + PS2 through ACEP, and currently in grad school to become a

licensed clinical social worker. I bring my lived experience, trauma-informed lens, and deep belief in the body’s ability to heal to every session. Here at Recreate Balance, I offer tapping sessions, somatic wellness coaching, and gentle support to help you come home to your body—without judgment, pressure, or fixing. This isn’t therapy—this is support for your emotional regulation, stress recovery, and nervous system resilience.

When someone we love is struggling, it can be hard to know where their experience ends and ours begins.

We worry. We think about what we could do differently. We wonder if we should step in, say something, help more, or whether stepping back means we don’t care.

Sometimes we know we can’t fix what they’re going through, and still find ourselves carrying so much of it.

What makes this hardest for you?

Sometimes caring about someone can slowly turn into carrying what they’re going through.

Their worries. Their choices. Their uncertainty.

But what if caring deeply doesn’t have to mean carrying all of it?

What would that look like for you?

Sometimes the hardest part of caring about someone isn't just what they're going through.

It can be the worrying.
Not knowing what to do.
Feeling responsible.
Wanting to fix something you can't fix.

What tends to be the hardest part for you?

Sometimes caring about someone can take up more emotional space than we realize.

The worrying. The wondering. Wanting to help. Wanting things to be different.

And somewhere in all of that, it can become easy to lose track of ourselves.

Can we care deeply about someone without their situation taking over our emotional life?

I think that’s a conversation worth having.

Sometimes when we've spent a long time navigating grief, uncertainty, difficult relationships, or simply taking care of what needs to be taken care of, it can become harder to hear ourselves in all of it.

One-on-one support offers a place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what feels true for you.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Reconnecting with yourself doesn’t always happen in some big, life-changing moment.

Sometimes it begins with noticing what you want, what you need, and what simply feels like you again.

Small choices can be part of finding our way back to ourselves.

It isn't always a big shift.

Sometimes it's noticing what you want, what you need, or what simply feels more like you.

Reconnection can begin there.

Sometimes it's difficult to recognize our own growth because we're living it one day at a time.

One of the gifts of being witnessed is having someone gently reflect back the changes we can't always see in ourselves.

If you're navigating grief, uncertainty, or a difficult relationship, my one-on-one support sessions offer a place to slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and reconnect with yourself as life continues to unfold.

A hard day doesn't erase your healing.

It reminds you you're human.

What if healing isn’t about becoming someone new…

What if it’s about remembering the parts of yourself that have always been there?
