Baptist Medical Group is seeking a CRNA to join our team in Southaven, Mississippi. This position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no call and no weekends.

What we’re looking for:
- Current active Mississippi RN licensure and compliance with applicable advanced practice nursing requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
- CRNA certification or recertification, or eligibility for initial certification
- Current competency in providing anesthesia services
- at least 1 year of experience necessary

Today is World Heart Day, and September is National Cholesterol Education Month. Both point at the same thing: the numbers that matter most are the ones you cannot feel.

September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, and uterine/endometrial cancer is among the most common gynecologic cancers in the United States.

Knowing the signs of uterine cancer can help you recognize when something isn’t right and can lead to earlier detection and better outcomes. We had the chance to discuss uterine cancer, its risks and preventive measures with Dr. Nnamdi Gwacham, a gynecologic oncologist with Baptist Cancer Center / Baptist Medical Group. Here are three things he would like women to to know:

🎗 If caught early, uterine cancer is very treatable. Early detection can save lives!
🎗 There has been an increase in uterine cancer cases in the last five to seven years, including among younger patients because of metabolic syndrome, such as obesity, uncontrolled diabetes and other conditions.
🎗 The most typical symptom of uterine cancer is abnormal bleeding or postmenopausal bleeding.

We encourage you to be proactive, questions and talk with a doctor if you have any signs of unusual symptoms.
