Dr Cliff Heegel This is my page for my professional stuff. In my business it gets tricky blending the personal and professional XX Messenger is good for untrackable texting.

Concerned about the privacy and security of our counseling sessions? We can use very secure communications technology that decreases your vulnerability to eavesdroppers, government tracking, and legal record requests like subpoenas. I will keep minimal records which can be helpful if you are involved in any sort of legal situation. At this time, the best all-purpose app for video chat, voice calls, and texting is Signal. Apple apps iMessage and Facetime are end-to-end encrypted so Apple can't give anyone the content of those conversations. And there are other apps that offer end-to-end encryption. All of the other apps that are not end-to-end encrypted can be searched by legal authorities using a subpoena.

Due to everything happening, in an abundance of caution, I am strongly recommending that my clients consider communicating with me using Signal for voice, text, and video calls rather than the standard methods we have been using heretofore.

To me, using Signal is like wearing a seatbelt. I hope I never need a seatbelt, but I buckle up whenever I am in a car.

I think I have needed a seatbelt twice in my lifetime, and it’s been over 50 years since the last time I benefited from wearing one.

So, I’m buckling up my personal and professional communication security (comsec). Hopefully, it will be unnecessary.

Signal is free and simple to use. Ultimately, it’s your decision, but I would love for all of us to talk via the most secure system that is pragmatic for individuals to use.

If you are a current or former client, DM me if you want my Signal contact info.

We will talk more in-depth about your situation and your specific concerns when we meet.

End of comms.
