Patient stories often say it better than we can. Here's a note from a patient after one year of hormone pellet therapy!

"Starting hormone replacement therapy has been life-changing for me. After a total hysterectomy at age 28 and an osteoporosis diagnosis at 51, I was struggling with energy, recurrent UTIs, and changes in my overall quality of life.

One year into estrogen and testosterone pellet therapy, I have more energy, a healthier and more satisfying intimate relationship, and I have gone an entire year without a UTI.

Although I continue to monitor some increased hair shedding, the benefits I have experienced far outweigh that challenge. I feel more like myself again and am hopeful to see positive changes in my bone health on my upcoming DEXA scan!"

β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ’š Happy Juneteenth from all of us!

As a Black woman-owned gynecology practice, we recognize that many of the disparities that exist in healthcare today are deeply rooted in a history of racism, sexism, and classism. While progress has been made, there is still important work to do to ensure that every person receives equitable, compassionate, and respectful care.

Today, Juneteenth commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. It is an opportunity to reflect on our nation's history, honor the strength and contributions of so many Black Americans, and reaffirm our commitment to building a more just and better future.

Our office is closed today as we observe Juneteenth to honor those who came before us, those who continue to advocate for change, and the communities that inspire progress every day. β€οΈπŸ–€πŸ’š

If you don't know the story behind our icon, read on because it's a pretty cute story.

When we spoke to the designer about our wants for our brand, we wanted something that embodied strength, modern medicine, but was still a little feminine. This option jumped off the page when we saw it and KNEW it was the one!

It reminds us of a birth control pack that so many need to keep their bodies functioning well. It reminds us of a dandelion which is incrediably resilient and provided a great source of food and medicine throughout history, and I know we're all thinking it - it looks like s***m retreating from an egg which added a little whimsy.

Being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community also aligns perfectly with that metaphor. We believe healthcare works best when people can show up as their authentic selves, and every person I have met has gone against the grain, found ways to heal what others broke, and had to be a little resilient. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ
