I was doing research on impacts of nutrition with connective tissue disorders (ie hypermobility). I was going to spew about how important nutrition can be for us fellow zebras, but I landed on that not being as exciting as thisâŠ
Iâm going to start sharing my journey as I limit/ eliminate gluten, and make some small and sustainable shifts to my dietary intake, but in my true fashion- Iâm going to share the data Iâm tracking along with it.
My diet has been lax ever since my daughterâs birthday. I know I felt better when I wasnât eating gluten. I donât have immediate pain when I eat gluten, and thatâs why this is such a slippery slope.
Over time, my bucket has gotten too full, and my pain has been terrible. My dizziness and POTS symptoms have SPIRALED đ
I know what I need to do, but here Iâm going to bring you along.
Elimination diets have been extra tricky for me as someone who has historically struggled with disordered eating habits since middle/high school.
I will be focusing on consistency, and an all or something approach. Focusing on limiting, and not beating myself up.
Let me know if youâre interested in any other trending information that Iâm tracking.
Currently Iâm using mostly a 0 (low)-10 (high)scale.
As of today my results are:
Chronic pain: 7
POTS: 7.5
Fatigue: 6.5
Depression: 5
Anxiety: 4.5
Focus: 3.5
Leg texture: lumpy, bumpy, 4-5 bruises
