, I've spent a lot of time thinking about why staying physically active can be so hard even when we know how important it is. Those questions inspired **Move Forward with Confidence**, my signature one-on-one coaching program for women who want to build a more confident, sustainable relationship with physical activity. It's not a workout plan. It's about understanding what's getting in the way, discovering what works for *you*, and learning to keep moving forward when life doesn't go according to plan. I'm excited to finally share it more broadly. 💙 More information in the comments.

POV: Social media loves a dramatic before-and-after. But what we don’t often see is everything that happens in between. The small choices, the imperfect days, the starting again. The healthy habits that take time to build. That’s the reality of meaningful change, and I think it’s worth remembering. If you're struggling, you're not alone. Just Begin Again.

A client shared this quote with me today. It's an important reminder to value your daily effort, small wins, and personal growth rather than waiting for the finish line to recognize and feel good about yourself. I'm always inspired by the strength and resilience of others and grateful to be a part of someone's journey.

There are things we can do to support our strength, balance, confidence, and bone health as we age. I’ll be presenting **Stepping Out Strong**, a free program from the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation, with practical information and strategies for staying strong, steady, and active.

I’ve been thinking a lot about consistency lately and how differently I understand it now than I did earlier in my life. There was a time when I thought staying active was mostly about making a plan and sticking to it. Midlife has given me a different perspective. Work, caregiving, changing bodies, changing energy, family responsibilities and just life can make something we care about surprisingly difficult to sustain. That's been my experience. And I’ve come to believe that maybe we don’t need to get better at making the plan. **Maybe we need to get better at adapting when the plan changes.** That idea is behind something new I created for women:

, I compiled this list of 10 ideas that have helped rethink the way I think about staying active. I have always been an active person, but I've absolutely had times when I've been less active and struggled to get started again. I truly hope one of them resonates with you. I'd love to hear which one speaks to you the most. 💜

For years, I wouldn't have considered walking "real exercise." I loved the gym, lifting weights, running, biking, and vigorous yoga. Walking just didn't feel like it counted. Then life changed. The pandemic, menopause, caregiving, burnout, and a broken wrist and diagnosis of osteoporosis. I needed to rethink what exercise looked like in this season of my life. What surprised me most was that it took a few years for my mind to catch up to what my body needed. I came across research that raised an interesting question: **What if some of the standards we're holding ourselves to aren't actually our own?** 🤨 That question inspired my latest blog post. If you've ever thought, *"If I can't do the whole workout, it's not worth doing,"* I think you'll find this worth a look. Has your definition of exercise changed over the years? 💜

What counts as exercise? Many of us have inherited ideas about what "real exercise" looks like. But what if those beliefs are making it harder to stay active? Explore the research behind exercise-related all-or-nothing thinking and discover how flexibility, not perfection, can help create
