Meet Logan
Logan received a kidney transplant at just 19 months old, requiring him to take daily immunosuppressant medications to protect his transplanted kidney. In rare cases, these medications can allow certain immune cells to grow abnormally. Unfortunately, Logan was one of those rare cases and was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma associated with PTLD (post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder).
Logan underwent an intensive course of chemotherapy and immunotherapy and is now in remission. He continues to receive close medical care as he recovers from treatment and is looking forward to transitioning back to school and getting back to simply being a kid.
Logan has continued to show remarkable bravery, strength, and resilience—still finding reasons to smile and, just as importantly, finding ways to make those around him smile too. 💛💛🎗️🎗️ In honor of Logan and all the incredible children who have faced cancer, let’s show our support and remember to wear Gold! Let’s remind these brave kids that they are never fighting alone. 💛🎗️💛🎗️
