Warrior Flow Warrior Flow originated as a style of Vinyasa flow developed by Adrian Molina in the early 2000’s in New York City. www.warriorflowschool.com

It grew quickly into a “studio without walls”, encompassing trainings, education, workshops, community activism, destination retreats, online resources, and raising awareness for causes such as homelessness, mental health and a more inclusive approach to yoga. Currently Adrian resides in Miami Beach, FL where he continues to expand the core values of Warrior Flow via online classes, workshops, trainings, articles, and being involved with community matters.

I’m grateful to share my new role as Education Programs Coordinator and educator in English and Spanish for INELDA, the International End-of-Life Doula Association.

After my mom’s passing in 2017, I felt so lost. When I took my first end-of-life doula training, it opened a door to understanding the importance of community outreach and the suffering we experience around loss.

Being able to hold space for others to explore these topics with an organization that supported me during a difficult time makes me feel beyond grateful.

Now I get to help others explore this work as I continue to explore my own relationship with loss, care, and what it means to live.

Thank you, team INELDA, for your trust and your fearlessness in bringing these conversations into the world.

Upward and onward.🤍

Seguimos adelante.🤍

Let the travel season begin ✈️💛 along with a great new chapter!

Beyond excited to be heading to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, next week for the first time with INELDA, teaching alongside my dear friend Wilka Roig and the wonderful Shelby Kirillin.

There is so much happening while we’re there, and I’m especially excited because our visit is part of INELDA’s larger Allegheny End-of-Life Care Project, an initiative bringing end-of-life education, conversations, and resources into the community while listening and learning from the people of Allegheny County.

On September 22, Wilka and I will host a free community event in Spanish, ¿Qué es una doula de fin de vida? We’ll talk about what end-of-life doulas do, the support we can offer, and how doulas can become part of a person’s circle of care.

On September 23, Shelby will lead Hands-on Techniques for Caregivers, a free workshop with practical ways to provide comfort and support to someone at the end of life. No medical background is needed.

And then, from September 24 through 27, Wilka, Shelby, and I will be teaching INELDA’s in-person End-of-Life Doula Training in Pittsburgh.

If you’re in the Pittsburgh area and have ever been curious about becoming an end-of-life doula, come join us! We’ll spend four days learning, reflecting, connecting, and developing the skills to accompany people and their circles of care.

A special thank you to The McElhattan Foundation for making this work possible.

It has been a while since I shared here on FB. Change has a way of asking questions we may not be ready to answer. About who we are, what we hold onto, what we leave behind, and what might be waiting underneath it all.

I’ve been sitting with those questions for long enough, and they became my latest essay.

Even if I tried, I don’t think I could be all that different from my dad. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

I cross my legs the way he does when he gets comfortable in a chair. I have the same great sense of humor that can crack you up even when you’re upset. We have the same trouble, more often than not, saying what we feel, even when it’s clear as water.

We are equally stubborn. We both feel the world deeply. We care. We make space. We feel a lot. We get the headaches and the lower back pain. But mostly, it’s all good.

Happy Father’s Day to the dad I got, and to the best one I could have asked for.

New glasses. Matching green shirt. A moment I actually paused for.

But I also wanted to share something that took more time.

I wrote a piece:

“Thoughts on Modern Life, Mortality and Identity.”

It came from sitting with questions I think many of us carry, but don’t always make space for.

What does it say about us
that we move so fast
we rarely stop to face
that this life is finite?

On Mondays, I host an online group in Spanish.

On Tuesdays, the same space in English.

We come together to talk about life, death, grief, and joy.

It is easy to get caught up in the pace of things and postpone the conversations that actually matter.

These gatherings are a simple invitation to pause, step out of your head, and connect through what is real and meaningful.

You are welcome to join us.

Registration is free.

It brings me great joy to share INELDA’s first essay published in both English, “Where I Come From, There Was No Hospice to Call,” and Spanish, “Donde Yo Crecí, No Había Hospice,” written by me.

In this piece, I reflect on my experience of living between two worlds, shaped by an understanding of end-of-life care and hospice both in the United States and across Latin America.

It is a perspective informed by accompanying the end of life of a loved one in Argentina without access to these resources, and also by recognizing the potential and the wide room for growth that exists in both contexts.

When is it a good day to share good news or things that remind us that there is more to life than the suffering we see all around? I ask myself that often. My latest essay touches on that topic and how feeling joy can sometimes be as challenging as feeling overwhelmed by the world. As usual, this is a personal essay, but I am sure it will resonate with many of my readers. We are used to bracing ourselves for impact and for challenges, but what about bracing for the good?

I’m sharing a new essay today about change, identity, and learning to listen when something in us is ready to shift.

And this Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET I’ll be hosting another online Death Cafe on Zoom.

It’s a thoughtful, open conversation about life, meaning, and impermanence.

You’re welcome to join. 💚
