Join me for one final Sunset Sips & Sound 🌅

An evening to come back to yourself and nature 🕯️🫖

We’ll begin by sipping on hibiscus tea, letting her grounding energy ease you into the present moment. Through intentional journaling, you’ll gain clarity on where you’re craving more joy, ease, and presence in your life. 🌺

From there, settle in for a guided meditation and sound bath — a reminder of what it feels like to truly slow down. We’ll close the evening in community, giving you space to reflect and share.

🗓️ Saturday, June 27th

If I’ve learned anything from posting the last 16 days, it’s to just freaking show up.

The more you do, the more you practice, the more you get out of your own way.

Plus you’ll get better because duh you’re actually doing the thing everyday.

I would heard Courtney Johnson say this all the time and now I finally understand what she means 🥹

Instead of using alcohol to relax I want you to do this instead:

Get curious and explore different ways to actually relax the nervous system.

This might look like:
-taking a walk in nature
-sipping on a non-alc cocktail with adaptogens
-listening to your favorite music
-breathwork, yoga or meditation

It’ll look different for each of us, it’s your job to figure out what feels relaxing to YOU.

Allow yourself to discover and learn what actually feels good for you, when trying different activities tune into the body and notice when you do feel relaxed.

Then you’ll have these tools to lean on later instead grabbing for a drink.

How has alcohol shaped your identity of how you show up in the world?

When starting to embark on this journey to integrate sober habits, it’s important to assess how alcohol has influenced who you are.

A few questions I’d like you to ask yourself are:

How do you rely on alcohol to show up as certain versions of yourself?

What would your identity look like without alcohol?

If you truly want to make lasting shifts and it’s helpful to understand what your identity could look like without booze.

This helps you embody the version of yourself that you want to show up as every single day. Not just when you’re drinking.

(I feel like I could speak on this particular topic all day so many more videos to come on alcohol influencing your identity)

Reframing how you socialize can be the biggest challenge when choosing to integrate sober habits.

Most of our socializing is centered around alcohol so when you’re deciding to not drink in those same social situations it can feel uncomfortable.

That’s normal, you’re creating a new habit and actively choosing differently than you have in the past.

The more you practice 👉🏼 the easiest it gets. Then eventually being sober in those environments will be your new normal.

Give it a try for yourself, choose to be sober at a social gathering you’d normally be drinking at and let me know how it goes, I’m genuinely curious!

Do you have a practice of tuning into the body?

Cultivating a practice of checking in and taking inventory of your physical body is so important when it comes to integrating sober habits.

It helps give you information on how your body feels when you’re drinking as well as how it affects the body.

When you understand how it affects you, you can make better choices in terms of choosing when to indulge and how to nourish yourself.

When you understand how your body feels and what’s going on, you’re better able to understand how to nourish yourself to bring your body back into balance.

Nourishment looks different for all of us. So for today I’d like you to consider what nourishment looks like for you?

Let’s dive into day 2! If we want to make actual changes we must first uncover what our beliefs around alcohol really are.

Exploring your beliefs will give you awareness and knowledge and perhaps a deeper understanding of why you’re drinking in the first place.

Reflect on why you drink alcohol, what do you receive when you drink, how do you feel?

You could even look deeper about what you learned about alcohol when growing up.

How much of your drinking is driven by social pressure?

Then I’d like you to write a letter to Alcohol as if it were in fact a person.

✍🏼Dear Alcohol… you’ll include your gratitude, how it’s supported you, how it hasn’t supported you, anything you feel is important to include.

If you try this, let me know how it goes! 🤔
