PSA: You do not have to show up to therapy with a perfectly organized agenda. 🤍

You can absolutely start a session with:

🫖 “I just need to spill the tea today.”
💭 “Can I just vent for a minute?”
🫠 “I don’t even know where to start.”
🥲 “I think I just need someone to listen.”
💬 “I have approximately 47 thoughts and zero organization.”

Therapy isn’t a performance. You don’t have to have a breakthrough every session, use the “right” words, or know exactly what you need.

Sometimes you need coping skills.
Sometimes you need accountability.
And sometimes you just need a safe place to yap.

perfectionism and trying to be perfect is stopping you from starting.

somewhere along the way you may have learned that not being perfect meant not being good enough, not being perfect meant failure, not being perfect meant not being worth it

when really: not being perfect means room for growth, not being perfect means being human, not being perfect means a new beginning or new start, not being perfect means you’re alive! ✨

today I want you to do one thing imperfectly, maybe try that new hobby, go to that new class, start learning a new skill, show up messy

when we stop defining imperfect as failing we leave so much room for growth and discovery
