Friday Flow 🧘‍♀️💜

Wrapping up July with an exploration of the Stella Maris Yoga/Traci L. pose of the month: Warrior III! It's been really fun to experiment with this one, and super rewarding to see my students develop the strength and agility over the last several weeks working on it.

If there's one thing I'll say it's do not be afraid, ashamed, or intimidated by using props or supports to help you access a pose and its benefits. The goal isn't to hit the perfect pose. The goal depends on you and what you're working towards: strength, confidence, flexibility, focus, calm - whatever it is, hitting the pose won't make or break your success. Only you can do that. And your yoga community is here to help!

Morning Affirmation ✨🙏

Let's get rid of this notion that failure means we should stop. Failure is valuable, because it tells us where we are lacking, where we need to get stronger, or what we've been neglecting. Mistakes are part of life, and you can wallow in them or you can learn from them. Allow yourself a moment of frustration, of sadness, of anger. And then ask yourself, "what's the next step?" Chances are you'll see the path, and you never would have found it if you didn't fall down first.
