✨Little Baby Playgroup✨ starts over again on Tuesday, Nov 10th for one last session of the year.

As our year comes to a close, this will be an abbreviated session — 3 weeks + bonus/wrap up week. Topics covered will be Tummy Time, Babywearing & Baby Massage but there will be plenty of time for discussion around other developmental topics. This is a 90 minute playgroup led by me, an infant specialized physical therapist, certified Babywearing educator & mom of 3 littles.

As always,
The Play Cafe is cleaned & closed for our time together.
Siblings are welcome to join for a discounted play rate.
Feed your baby whenever & however you’d like.
We expect to hear crying babies & it’s not an interruption or disruption to the group if your baby is signaling that they need something.

Little Baby Playgroup is almost full for our Sept-Oct cohort, starting this Tuesday Sept 15th!

✨Full Session (6 week + bonus week) or 4 Week Class Passes available✨

This has always been more than just a Playgroup 🤍

It’s where you’ll meet your baby’s first besties while exploring everything from tummy time & babywearing to massage, baby gear and early movement milestones.

It’s where you’ll learn how to comfortably get out of the house with your baby alongside so many others navigating the same season. You’ll be really early or really late & forget something but you’ll be okay. We’ll be there with everything you need.

It’s where you’ll shamelessly ask questions, learn what’s typical & discover simple ways to support your baby’s development through everyday play.

You’ll get:

There are so many ways to wear your baby beyond the carriers you’ll find at Target or Amazon.

The carrier you choose & how you use it, can make a big difference in your comfort, your baby’s comfort & your overall babywearing experience.

& babywearing can be about more than simply being hands-free to “get things done” or transporting your baby from one place to another without a stroller. It can be a beautiful tool for connection, bonding, regulation, & supporting your baby’s development, while also making everyday life a little easier.

For many of us, babywearing isn’t something we grew up seeing or learning. Unlike cultures around the world where carrying babies with simple pieces of cloth remains a living tradition, most new parents are left to figure it out on their own.

You don’t have to.

Join me for an informative & hands-on demonstration-based session where we’ll explore the why and how of babywearing — from choosing a carrier to getting a comfortable, supportive fit.

📢 I’m looking for allll the babies born in April, May, June, July & August. This Playgroup is for you!

Swipe through to read the most common questions & reservations about Playgroup that end up in my DMs. If you were contemplating one or more of these, you’re not alone.

Don’t feel like swiping? Basically, I’m here to reassure you that this weekly group is curated for parents or caregivers with newborns & young infants.

First time & seasoned caregivers are welcome. There’s always a good mix of both!

Worried about germs? The Play Cafe closes & is cleaned prior to our group starting and then it’s just us during our time together.

Siblings? Bring them. They can play at a discounted rate during group time.

Your baby cries? They all do. It’s ok & not an interruption.

Not sure how you’re going to feed, sleep & care for your baby on the go? You’ll be surrounded by lots of people navigating the same season of challenges.

there are two reasons I’m still hosting this Playgroup five years later.

I LOVE what it’s become
& YOU keep showing up.

it’s a safe place to learn, grow & sometimes just simply be among others who get it.

it’s ok if you forget the diaper bag, the change of clothes, the pacifier, the whatever you think is pertinent to survival.

it’s ok if feeding isn’t perfect or honestly downright still pretty damn difficult

it’s ok if your baby is “fussy” or cries
& it’s ok to not be sure what your baby is trying to tell you.

it’s ok to feel overwhelmed & even cry yourself a time or two.

all you need to do is show up with your baby, some curiosity & an open mind.

we’ll take care of the rest.

Listen, you’ve told me how you wish you would have found this community sooner. You’ve told me how grateful you are for the relationships you’ve built with other Mothers & the built in playmates your baby now has from Playgroups & Tummy Time Classes. You’ve thanked me for connecting you to other providers who cared for you & your baby with the same passion and expertise that I did.

Now you can make a difference in your girlfriend’s Motherhood. It doesn’t have to be her first baby. Many Mothers who attend our Prenatal Potluck are Mothers who never found that community the first or even second time around.

Maybe you know another Mother who hasn’t grown up here & may be looking for friends going through to the same season she is.

Tell her she should come meet me (& Monica), share some yummy apps with us, chat with some others anticipating their baby this Fall, learn about some of our most trusted local providers & get a few newborn Babywearing tips. & then gently tell her again. Because we get it. It feels a bit like putting yourself out there. It can be a little unnerving. Like maybe it’ll be a little weird.

But hear me, we’ve done several of these potlucks over the last two years. It is nonstop chatter from the moment we start. Your friend will find someone to connect with, if not everyone in the room. Pregnancy isn’t just about preparing for birth.

It’s about preparing for the season that comes after.

Our free Seasonal Prenatal Potluck, cohosted with Monica (Newark Prenatal Massage & Yoga) in her beautiful home studio, is one of my favorite events because it creates space for something that’s often missing in modern motherhood: genuine connection.

No big presentations. No pressure. Just good food, meaningful conversation, sharing local trusted postpartum resources & a room full of women preparing for the same life-changing season.

We’ll share a meal, talk honestly about the transition into motherhood, introduce safe newborn babywearing practices, & connect you with a community that will still be here long after this one evening.
