On June 18, I start my Smugglers Notch Vermont Summer Class Series. I will be teaching every Wednesday & Thursday until the end of August. If you're interested in taking a class contact the Guest Service Desk at 802-644-1293 to register. If you have any questions about the classes please ask me! These classes are open to both Smugglers Notch guests and the public.

Last Thursday, I led a Wild Edible & Medicinal Herb Walk for the Access CVU program. It's one of my favorite classes to teach! Though it was cold and wet, 13 brave souls made it to the class and we walked around the school grounds identifying different plants. We easily identified 50-75 plants, everything from burdock to poison ivy. There was lots of repetition in seeing various plants so I'm hoping everyone went home knowing at least 5 new plants!! We even did some taste testing;) I teach classes for Access CVU from the fall to the spring so look for upcoming classes coming this fall. I will be posting the class information and a link to sign up to the class. If you have a group of people interested in going on a herb walk please reach out to me!

Did you know that common lilac flowers are edible? I’m infusing some fragrent lilac flowers to make a simple syrup for my Botanical Mocktails, Cocktails and Mixed Drinks class this summer at Smugglers Notch.
