“I was determined to recover as quickly as possible and return to competing.”
When a rolled ankle, bad sprain, and broken bone put Malia in a boot, she turned to Viverant to help her get back to gymnastics.
“I loved working hard at physical therapy because it gave me purpose when I couldn’t practice with my team. My physical therapist, Adam Urick, helped me progress from strength and flexibility training to jumping and landing exercises and gave me the confidence to start doing more skills in the gym.
Thanks to my team at Viverant, I was able to compete at the State meet, where I placed first All-Around and qualified for Regional Championships.”
