Unfortunately had a plantar fasciitis flare after the long run. I've never dealt with this before. Taking any and all advice because race day is only 11 days away😭

I will not be leaving the couch the rest of the day
(swipe to see what I picked up mid-run🐠)

Remember 2 weeks ago when I called a 20-mile run at mile 10? Just goes to show that we all have off days.

I'm also very glad it wasn't during peak week😅

13 more miles to go this week than it's taper time!

What's one thing you experience in the taper⬇️

Taper crazies, taper tantrums, whatever you want to call it.

Taper crazies are a weird mix of physical and mental symptoms that show up when you start the taper and training mileage reduces.

You might think you will feel your best during this time with less energy spent on training. But most of the time, after months of high mileage, running less can make your brain and legs freak out a little (ok, a lot)!

Embrace this time. Keep busy with other hobbies like reading or catching up on a favorite TV series. Focus on the runs you nailed, your race plan, and how you will stay in the mile you are in on race day.

You got this! I'm rooting for you💥
