Last spring, my sister lost her first child after six months of pregnancy. Since then, several families I am close to have experienced stillbirths. In processing the grief of my niece Sofia's death, I began making bundles out of the clothes I had bought in anticipation of her, Little Rabbit. These bundles represented the potentiality of this child: her holiness, specificity and purity. Recently, I

gave Sofia's bundles to some dear friends whose baby girl was born still. If you or someone you know has lost a baby before, during or soon after birth, I would like to make bundles for them, using clothes they bought or made in preparation for the child who died. Naturally, since I regard my work as a memorial to these children, I will of course not accept any payment for this. I have a collection of used baby clothes that I am open to using in bundle-making, however I would like to make each set of bundles with an individual child in mind. Each set of bundles will be made to the weight of the child at time of birth, if it is known. As I continue to make bundles for families, I would like to gather these into a space and exhibit them. This exhibition would involve showing these bundles and potentially function as a fundraiser for services for families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn loss. Two years ago, my sister lost her first child after six months of pregnancy. Since then, several families I am close to have experienced stillbirths. In processing the grief of my niece Sofia's death, I began making bundles out of the clothes I had bought in anticipation of her, Little Rabbit. These bundles represented the potentiality of this child: her holiness, specificity and purity. I then began making bundles for families all over the US and UK who had experienced the loss of a child before, during, or soon after birth from items of clothing bought or made in preparation for the baby. These bundles were made to the weight of the child and sent to the family.

I am honored to have been invited to exhibit the Bundle Project at the Stillbirth Summit hosted by Star Legacy Foundation in Minneapolis, MN this spring. For this exhibition, we'd like to collect 26,000 bundles - the number of stillbirths in the U.S. per year. So, I invite you to make bundles with me. Anybody can make bundles, and by making even 10 bundles, you can help reach are goal. At the end of the event, we will invite people who attend the summit to take a bundle with them, to serve as a reminder of the lives of these babies.
