Your body often gives quiet signals before something bigger gets your attention. Three signs I do not want ignored are:

1️⃣ Feeling full quickly
2️⃣ Frequent infections
3️⃣ A sore that does not heal

These signs do not always mean cancer, but when they are new, persistent, or unexplained, they deserve a closer look.

👉 If it's persistent or worsening, get it checked. Save this and comment below if you have questions.

As an oncologist, I get the question all the time: what's the difference between cancer tumor marker and a scan? 🤔

Tumor markers are lab numbers that can help us track some cancers. Scans show us what is happening in the body. One is not a replacement for the other - we use both in context.

One year in Monroe, and now a new chapter in Ruston. 🎉

This milestone means more than growth. It means more patients in Northeast Louisiana can receive compassionate and advanced cancer care closer to home. I’m grateful for the trust this community has placed in me over the past year, and I’m proud to continue that work in Monroe while now serving patients in Ruston as well.

Thank you for being a part of this journey! 🙌 If you or a loved one need an appointment, call our clinic today.

Breast cancer does not always start with something dramatic. Before a diagnosis, it can look like:

1️⃣ A lump in the breast or underarm
2️⃣ Skin dimpling or thickening
3️⃣ Ni**le changes or discharge
4️⃣ Swelling
5️⃣ One breast feeling different than normal

These changes do not always mean cancer, but they do deserve attention. Early answers protect options.

👉 Save this reel and share it with someone who needs the reminder not to ignore body changes.

One year ago, I opened Ghattas Oncology in Monroe in partnership with Highland Clinic with a goal of bringing expert cancer care closer to home for families across Northeast Louisiana.

Over the past year, we've had the privilege of caring for patients throughout our region and expanding access to care with the opening of our Ruston location.

Thank you to our patients, caregivers, team members, and community partners for your trust and support. It is an honor to serve this community, and I remain committed to providing compassionate, personalized care that every patient deserves. 💙

Here's to one year of serving our community, and many more to come! 🎉 If you've been a part of our first year, we'd love to hear from you.

Some cancer symptoms are easier to dismiss because they do not seem obvious. Three uncommon symptoms worth mentioning are:

1️⃣ New hoarseness that lingers
2️⃣ Frequent infections
3️⃣ Unexplained bruising

These symptoms can have many causes, but if they are new, persistent, or unexplained, they deserve attention.

👉 Had you heard of these before? Comment below.

Thyroid problems can show up in ways people do not always expect. Three signs your body may be asking for a thyroid check are:

1️⃣ A lump or swelling in the neck
2️⃣ Hoarseness that does not go away
3️⃣ Trouble swallowing or a constant feeling of pressure in the throat

These signs deserve more than a “wait and see.”
