Hospice care is about more than medical support. It is about helping patients and families feel supported, comfortable, and cared for in the place they call home. πŸ’›

Many people do not realize that hospice services can come directly to you. Depending on individual needs, care at home may include nursing visits, medications related to comfort care, medical equipment and supplies, emotional support, and guidance for caregivers and families.

Our team is here to help make each day feel a little easier with compassionate care centered around comfort, dignity, and connection.

Because support matters wherever home may be.

At Bridges Hospice, it is our privilege to honor the veterans in our care through our Pinning Project. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We were proud to recognize Samuel McDade for his service in the United States Army during the Korean War. During service he was taken to Fort Benning, Georgia, to attend jump school. He also worked in Artillery. He was stationed in Germany, where he met his wife, they married in Augsburg, Germany and returned to the states. Sam is very proud of the work he did while in the Army and we are grateful for his sacrifices!

Moments like these allow veterans to be celebrated, thanked, and reminded that their dedication and commitment will never be forgotten.

Every pin tells a story of courage, service, and sacrifice, and we are honored to help recognize those who have served our country with dignity and gratitude.

Thank you, Samuel McDade, for your service. πŸ’›

✨ HAPPY RETIREMENT to our Hospice Aide, Diane Morrison! ✨

Diane retired from her full-time position after four years with us. She will continue with Bridges Hospice in an as-needed, on-call role.

πŸŽ‚ 🎈Not only did she retire on Wednesday, today is her Birthday! A double celebration! Thank you, Diane for all of your compassionate care and hard work over the years!

Diane is looking forward to spending time with her grandchildren, sleeping in, vacationing and of course filling in at Bridges when she can. πŸ™‚

Sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the quiet ones.

A conversation shared across the room.
A smile that comes naturally.
Time spent simply being together.

At Bridges Hospice, we believe hospice care is about more than medical support. It is about connection, comfort, and making space for moments that still bring joy and meaning.

Because even in life’s most difficult seasons, there is still room for laughter, companionship, and meaningful memories.

πŸ’› Hospice is about living through the moments that matter most.

There’s something special about seeing smiles, hearing laughter, and watching everyone simply enjoy the moment together.

From tropical drinks to colorful decorations, this fun afternoon brought joy, conversation, and connection to our patients and community.

At Bridges Hospice, we believe meaningful care includes moments that make people feel seen, included, and celebrated. πŸ’›

Our volunteers bring comfort, connection, and kindness to the families we serve every single day. πŸ’›

Hello! My name is Kate and I’ve been volunteering with Bridges since the beginning of this year. I am currently studying to become a death doula which is what led me to discover Bridges in the first place. I am very passionate about death care as well as the normalization of talking about and engaging with death in our own personal lives but even more, as a collective.

Beyond my volunteer work, if I’m not stocking the shelves at the grocery store you can find me: cuddling with cats and dogs (I live with five fur friends in total), learning about and working with the Tarot, watching one of my favorite comedy shows for the 100th time, or creating art- either alone or with my friends and family.

I’m beyond grateful for having found Bridges and am honored to be a part of its amazing group of volunteers! (Pictured here with Bruiser, just about every photo I am in includes an animal!)

Some stories from service are written in medals… and some are written in memories.

Today, we were honored to recognize Douglas House through our Pinning with Purpose ceremony. His time in service gave him experiences he never forgot, including traveling to Italy and seeing the beautiful Mediterranean Sea.

Moments like these remind us that every veteran carries a unique story, and we are grateful for the opportunity to listen, honor, and celebrate them.

Thank you, Douglas, for your service and for sharing a piece of your journey with us.πŸ’›
