Preparing for a pilgrimage is similar to preparing for most adventures and projects, for me there are usually stacks of books around. This particular preparation is no exception.

Finding stories.
Holding space for the complexities.
Sharing stories.
Letting the path reveal itself.
Book the tickets.
Pack lightly.
It's all part of the process.

Hoping for a future where nuclear weapons are never used again.

Unpacking the horror and shame of concentration camps.

Here's the preview and introduction for one called The Persimmon Project where I'll explore persimmons, my Japanese heritage, and relationship with other than human nature.

Some strawberry Full Moon blessings, may life's sweetness, gentle love, joy, and gratitude in our world find its way to you!

Thank you to Nessie Potts for this beautiful little bowl to hold my tiny backyard harvest today.

And gratitude for Rachel Ross Ward
for taking me dancing over the weekend among other creative endeavors.

I'm getting excited for the upcoming Nature Therapy workshop with Julie Brams, LMFT!

Always grateful to have Coach Petar in my corner professionally and personally!

Thank you to my labyrinth loving ladies Kathryn Bikle, LMFT and Shana Pallotta, LMFT, MBA with two more workshops in 2026!

And Gina Snooks, PhD
for your thought partnership, friendship, and upcoming retreat, woo hoo!

Thank you Amber Martin for the friendship and keeping us on track with season 2 of Ponder While We Wander!

And so much gratitude for Eve for keeping me on track in so maybe areas!!!

There are so many humans who I get to do fun things with. If I didn't get to thank you here, it's not for a lack of gratitude. Hopefully I'm being a good enough human and expressing this in real life.

An indoor solstice greeting due to smokey conditions.

A summer solstice prompt taken from this Phases of the Forests oracle deck:

Imagine you are the sun: what would you be radiating?

I co-facilitated two labyrinth events in one week. That was a first for me, and there are no pictures because I was in the experience and not in my camera/phone. I wish I had pictures of the beautiful altar set up or of feet walking the labyrinth path to entice anyone interested to join us next time, but you'll have to go sign up for email reminders or check on the events page for that.

So, instead I present to you these kittens we've been helping our local stray momma cat raise. All kittens and momma are getting spayed/ neutered and vaccinated. Momma will be released back into her community because she's feral. The kittens are being socialized and will be for adoption soon!

There is an amazing network of humans helping to curb this feral population challenge. I'm currently participating in it by chance and because look at these amazing beings! I'll tag some of the organizations in the comments, but more important have been the human volunteers not directly affiliated with any one organization. Wow, these people, mostly women, are a force for good.

If you've ever considered trapping and releasing feral cats, fostering, donating resources and money, volunteering at shelters or adoption events, or just raising awareness that we can help our feral cat populations, do it! There are some deeply caring people doing some incredibly important work, and they need rest and support.

Took labyrinths and lily pads out into the world and 45 participants co-created an experience in real life together. It was beautiful!

Thank you for the experience of co-facilitating with you .

Inspired by a metaphor in new book Dirtbag Rich: High Freedom Low Income High Purpose, which I highly recommend, lily pads can offer ways of managing the discomfort that shows up in our relationship with uncertainty.

If you haven't subscribed to my substack page yet, I'd love for you to do that so we can continue a conversation there. Find the link in my bio link tree.
