STATEN ISLAND SUMMER STREETS 2026 💥🌸🚴 Thank you to the folks at the NYC DOT for another great year of free community education, activities and performances!
I always look forward to this time of year when we get to bring the WILD to the streets. Every year since 2022 Glam Gardener has participated in Summer Streets. Bringing seasonal & regional wild edible and medicinal plants of NYC to the BLOCK ✅ LET’S GOOOO
Offering a sensory touching and tasting mini learning lesson to passers by. If you shared a Spicebush berry or an Anise hyssop leaf with me yesterday, thank you! 🌱
We also led a planting activity and gave out a couple hundred plants for folks to take home and nurture. We love having a moment with our fellow New Yorkers to connect about all things natural, planty, herbal, and garden-esque 🌞

Although Staten Island’s summer streets has concluded, there are still 4 MORE WEEKS OF SUMMER STREETS across the boroughs—please check out the full calendar and visit the rest stops across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and beyond! We won’t be there, but there are tons of great activities, performances and facilitators doing cool things at each rest stop.
