When I worked in communities one of my favorite weeks was Assisted Living Week. I loved the fun themes, activities, and special events. I loved that we were able to recognize and treat the dedicated staff that were the backbone of the community.

Today we took a family field trip to local assisted living communities to thank the staff for all that they do for their residents. These are the dedicated professionals who care for and dedicate their lives to the families that we help move to their communities.

Thank you to everyone who has dedicated their lives to love and care for seniors in assisted living. You truly are making a difference!

We had a wonderful time at our quarterly networking breakfast at Waltonwood Providence. Thank you Matt and Cara for hosting at your beautiful community and allowing us to partner with you!

We were so excited to be able to introduce Cyndi Mortimer to so many wonderful people at this event. Today was Cyndi‘s first day with Knight Senior Advisors! We are excited about the compassion and energy that she brings to our team.

It is always wonderful to spend time with so many amazing people! As we looked around this morning, there are so many stories of different parts of our professional journey represented here. It’s amazing that we now get to partner with so many people and maintain these friendships. It was wonderful seeing Hillary May who was Cory’s first boss at the YMCA in Savannah, GA. I was able to see co-works from different stages in my senior living career such as Wendy, Tonia, and Matt. Then all the many faces from when I was a Sales Director to now as we own our business. It was amazing to introduce Cyndi to so many people that are not just colleagues, but friends. I love our industry and network that we get to work alongside.

Thank you to everyone who came out today! It was great seeing so many familiar faces and meeting many new people as well!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

25 years later, we carry forward the memory of the victims, the courage of the first responders, and the extraordinary spirit of unity that brought communities together in the days that followed.

We had a wonderful time at the Gracefully Aging 101 event at The Bazemore. It’s always great to get together with our professionals to educate seniors on the resources that are available. Thank you Heather Duke for inviting us to be part of this great event!

Visiting a senior living community today brought pure joy, highlighted by a special visit with the miniature therapy horse I’ve seen so many photos of. Seeing the genuine smiles on residents' faces as they interacted with their tiny four-legged visitor was a powerful reminder of how impactful these moments are.

Between the vibrant resident activities, exceptional engagement programs, and dedicated care teams, the energy was wonderfully uplifting. Days like today highlight exactly why assisted living holds such a special place in my heart—it is a community where connection, comfort, and joy thrive every day.

So often families have a wrong idea of what assisted living is really like. However, day in and day out I’m able to see communities that have thriving residents because of caring staff, amazing volunteers, and engaging programs. In our initial conversations with families I love to paint the picture of how moving to a community allows seniors to thrive! Today was just another reminder of the joy I see on many faces each time I walk into a community, and the joy it creates in me as well!
