For our September RBT highlight, meet Glen Gardner! Glen has been with ENC ABA since December 2024, and he serves in both the clinic and school district! Glen is a compassionate and fun RBT who brings lots of laughter and energy to every session! Glen was inspired to become an RBT because he “wanted to learn how to interact with individuals with special needs in a meaningful way!” His specialty is pairing and play through activities like the crash pad, telling funny jokes, and making silly faces. He believes that “every behavior has a reason and that there is always a way to help.” Outside of work, Glen enjoys writing songs and poetry, listening to music, and drinking tea. His professional goal is getting into sports-centered ABA! A fun fact about Glen is that he can do all kinds of different accents! We’re so grateful to have Glen’s energetic and passionate personality on our team!

We are excited to highlight Beth Cucinotta, BCBA! Beth brings a lot of compassion, dedication, and purpose to her role as a BCBA. With degrees in Education, Special Education, and Applied Behavior Analysis, she is passionate about supporting individuals with complex communication needs through augmentative and alternative communication and the development of functional communication skills. One of her greatest achievements is that she was the very first recipient of the Outstanding Educator award across all 50 schools in the Diocese. After 18 years in faith-based special education, Beth followed her calling to serve individuals with autism and their families through ABA. She believes compassionate care begins with building trusting relationships, honoring each person's unique strengths, and empowering families through evidence-based support. Beth's greatest joy is celebrating each client's hard-earned milestones alongside their families. She stays current by reviewing research, attending continuing education, and collaborating with fellow professionals to ensure every client receives the highest quality care. We're grateful for Beth's servant heart, clinical expertise, and unwavering commitment to helping individuals build meaningful communication skills and reach their fullest potential.

For this month's Staff Highlight, meet Dana Mercer! Dana has been with ENC ABA since August 2024! She is a valued member of our team and does a wonderful job finding creative ways to engage in play while implementing goals. Dana loves pairing with the kids through activities like bubbles and LEGOs! During her sessions, her specialty is using antecedent strategies while providing comfort and support. She believes the greatest lesson ABA has taught her is "to slow down and appreciate life's blessings." When she isn't at the clinic, you can find her relaxing on the porch with her dog, watching the sunset, or spending time at home with family and friends. We're so grateful to have Dana on our team and appreciate the care, dedication, and expertise she brings every day!

What a great *and very hot* end of summer event for our families. This week we celebrated 2 kids completing their ABA journey 🥹 and reflected on all the fun we’ve had this summer.

Beaufort Fire Department and Police Department will be at Louis Randolph Johnson Jr Memorial Park, located at 1017 Pine St, this Friday 8/14 from 10-1pm giving away free bicycles helmets while supplies last. They will be on scene sharing safety tips, life safety education, and ways to stay safe whether you're riding, walking or driving.

From 11-12 during this event, there will also be Beaufort's "Summer Kids Feed" and "Art in the Park" event with free bagged lunch as well as arts & crafts to participate in.
