Codependence: when “I’ll take care of you” quietly turns into “please take care of me.”

Have you experienced this as a parent or a child?

Garden note: In zone 7b plant mesclun greens in on March for a spring harvest, or August for a fall harvest.

Therapist note: Plant yourself in therapy as a young adult for a lifetime harvest of healthy relationships.

Best Mom Ever — a live, interactive comedy experience

Best Mom Ever is a warm, observational stand-up show about the messy, hilarious, and sometimes tender realities of parenting, marriage, and showing up imperfectly. Gently therapy-informed and deeply relatable, the performance invites the audience to participate, share in laughter, and feel a renewed sense of connection with each other — like a big, joyous, slightly chaotic community. Themes include imperfection, repair, and the absurdities of motherhood, all explored with wit, warmth, and playful storytelling. Expect chocolate, improvisation, and moments that feel both personal and universal.

Who it’s for:
While the show celebrates mothers, it’s for anyone who has a mom, wants to reflect on family, or simply loves laughter grounded in real life. Friend groups, multi-generational audiences, and couples are all welcome — anyone who enjoys sharing in humor, honesty, and human connection.

Audience guidance:
Recommended for ages 14+ due to candid parenting humor and occasional adult themes.

Tracy Scott is a therapist by training, a thespian at heart, and a mom in real life. She thrives in live rooms where humor and humanity share the stage.
