🎉 We Are Proud to Announce the Launch of the Destiny's Dream Legacy Grant Program! 🎉
One Dream. Endless Futures.
Today, a dream begins again.
The Destiny's Dream Legacy Grant Program was established in loving memory of Destiny Bottoms, whose dream of completing a college education was never realized during her lifetime. Although her journey ended too soon, her dream did not.
Through this grant program, Destiny's legacy will continue by supporting North Carolina students, ages 18–25, who have experienced homelessness while pursuing higher education.
Every recipient becomes a Dream Keeper—someone who carries Destiny's dream forward while building a future of their own. Every semester completed, every milestone achieved, and every graduation is another chapter in a legacy of hope, perseverance, and opportunity.
This program recognizes that many students receive help paying for school but still struggle with the everyday expenses that determine whether they can remain enrolled and succeed.
The Destiny's Dream Legacy Grant Program helps remove those barriers by assisting with educational and essential living expenses such as:
🏠 Housing and rent deposits
💻 Laptops, technology, and internet access
📚 Books and required educational supplies
🚗 Transportation and vehicle-related expenses
🍽 Food and other essential living needs
👶 Childcare
🩺 Other education-related expenses that help students stay in school and reach graduation
Our belief is simple:
No student's dream should end because they cannot afford the basic necessities needed to continue their education.
