Even when it feels like our lives are affected and manipulated by other’s choices and even our own, God is ultimately Sovereign over all things. God was with Joseph when he was sold by his brothers, a slave in Potiphar’s house, and a prisoner in Egypt. And God is with us in the various trials, heartaches, and disappointments we face each and every day.

We may not always know or see what God is doing, but we can take hope in the fact that He is working all things out for our sanctification and eternal good.

Because of Christ, we have an inheritance.
Because of Christ, we are free from the need to measure up before we come before Him in prayer.
Because of Christ, we are freed from the need to live a perfect life before we can be redeemed.
Because of Christ, we are freed from the law and now we live by grace!
