It’s been such an inspiration working alongside Jay as he preps for the Bighorn 100 mile ultra marathon this June. In addition to putting work in on the trails, in the gym, and in our clinic, Jay has teamed up with two friends to create The Miles That Matter Campaign, raising $25,000 for Windwood Farm. 🤩

Windwood Family Services provides help, hope and healing to children and families in the Charleston Tri-County area affected by abuse, neglect or trauma through residential programs and community services.

The Miles that Matter Campaign exists on the belief that that 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. Every mile that Jay and his friends run represents the trust, discipline, and the power of community to carry us through hard things. 👋🏼 Cyclists and triathletes!!
🚴🏻‍♀️ Cycling forces us into a prolonged position of back flexion. Without mobility in the thoracic spine and stability in the trunk, the body compensates elsewhere. That’s where common issues like neck stiffness, low back tightness, and shoulder niggles can pop up.

Better mobility + better control = smoother force transfer, longer rides, and a more resilient body on and off the bike.

We help active people get out of pain and back to doing what they love with one-on-one, personalized care that actually fits your life.

Our focus is simple: real answers, long-term results, and keeping you moving.

You’ll work with our PTs Matt and Alison, who really get what it’s like to stay active and busy while trying to stay healthy.

Matt brings calm energy into the room, mixes in a lot of hands-on work with strength-based rehab, and can probably relate to your training goals on a personal level (he’s usually juggling his own run training and life outside the clinic).

Alison brings a really thoughtful approach that helps people feel understood quickly. She’s big on building strength that actually carries over to real life and training, and she understands the athlete’s mindset of wanting to continue to push and improve.

Our Prescribed Strength for Runners classes are designed by physical therapists to help you run stronger, move better, and stay injury-free. 🏃

Every session is designed to:

- Improve run mechanics and efficiency
- Address current aches, pains, or injuries
- Build strength to prevent future injuries

Sessions are held at 6:33 PT in Mount Pleasant on Wednesdays at 7 AM and Fridays at 8 AM. Sessions are limited to 6 runners and pre-registration required.
