✨ EXCITING NEWS FOR CHARLESTON FAMILIES! ✨
Charleston Speech Therapy Services and Myofacial Health of Charleston are teaming up to offer play-based Speech + Myofunctional Therapy Groups designed specifically for children ages 4–7 and 8–12.
These small-group sessions bring together speech-language therapy and orofacial myofunctional therapy in a fun, supportive environment where children can build important skills while interacting with their peers.
Our groups may be a great fit for children experiencing:
• Mouth breathing
• Tongue thrust
• Difficulty chewing or swallowing
• Low oral muscle tone
• Speech sound differences
• Mild feeding concerns
• Thumb or finger-sucking habits
• Oral habits following a tongue or lip-tie release
Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, we’ll work on healthy nasal breathing, tongue strength and coordination, proper tongue resting posture, lip closure, chewing and swallowing patterns, oral-motor coordination, and speech sound support.
What makes these groups special? 💛
Children get the opportunity to practice these important skills through play and social interaction, with guidance from both a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist.
