Clouds block sunlight, not UV rays. Up to 80% of UV radiation still reaches your eyes on an overcast day. It just doesn't feel as intense because the visual glare and heat are reduced. ☁️🕶️
Over time, unprotected UV exposure adds up. It's linked to:
👁️ Cataracts
👁️ Macular degeneration
👁️ Photokeratitis (basically a sunburn on your cornea)
👁️ Pterygium (growths on the eye's surface)
The solution: wear 100% UVA/UVB sunglasses daily - not just on sunny days. ☀️
