Celebrating three brave women joining the Reprieve family this week and sending another on her way 🥹🤍 we’re wishing them all the very best!

Experiencing enough safety, enough times, that we start to believe it 🫶🏼

Tonight was a beautiful reminder of the power of connection in recovery.

Recovery is about so much more than abstaining from substances. It’s about rebuilding relationships, creating healthy memories, learning to enjoy life again, and discovering that we don’t have to do it alone. Nights like this remind us that healing happens in community. It happens in the laughter around a campfire, the shared understanding in a conversation, and the support of women who truly get it.

Grateful for these moments, these friendships, and the reminder that recovery can be filled with joy, connection, and purpose. 💜🔥🌅

Recovery isn’t just about healing the mind — it’s about reconnecting with the body, too 🤍

Movement can be such a powerful tool in our recovery!
• helps reduce stress hormones like cortisol
• increases dopamine and serotonin — chemicals connected to mood and motivation
• can improve sleep, which is essential in recovery
• has been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression
• can help rebuild trust, confidence, and self-worth
• group movement (walking, yoga, fitness classes, dancing) can reduce isolation and create connection
• just 10–20 minutes of movement can positively impact mood and cravings

Recovery doesn’t require perfection.
It can look like stretching in the morning, walking around the block, dancing 💃 in the kitchen, lifting weights 🏋️‍♀️ , yoga 🧘‍♀️ , or simply breathing deeply outside in the sun ☀️
Every time we move our bodies with care, we remind ourselves✨ We are worth taking care of.

A few of the women here shared how movement has helped them in their recovery-

How has it helped you 💭

What inspired you to work in women’s recovery?

As a woman I have suffered with addiction and many women before me showed me the way, the only thing that felt right to me was doing the same thing.

What’s your favorite part about working with the women who come through Reprieve?

getting to know the women, and be able to spend the most raw moments with them.

How has this work changed you personally?

It showed me how to lead with love and has help solidify my boundaries.

What are a few things that bring you joy outside of work?

I really enjoy nature and floating the river in the summer, and keeping my body moving.

What’s one thing you’re really proud of big or small?

I’m proud of hitting my 3 years, it felt impossible at the beginning which was so wrong!

We love you, Lil!! Thanks for sharing your heart with Reprieve!

Nature has a quiet way of helping your nervous system remember what safety feels like. The rhythm of your breath begins to match the wind, heart rate softens, and your body gets a break from constant alertness.

In recovery, this matters. When your system feels calmer, your mind has more space to choose—rather than react.
Even a few minutes outside can reduce stress, ease cravings, and reconnect you with something steady and grounding.

You don’t have to do anything complicated.
Step outside.
Feel the sun,
notice the air,
listen to what’s around you.
Let nature hold some of what you’ve been carrying.

Healing doesn’t always have to be hard. Sometimes it looks like standing in the quiet and letting your body settle, one breath at a time 🤍
