In our recovery, we MOVE!

Why do we move? Because it can support our brain 🧠 emotions 🤍 and our recovery process 💪

It helps regulate our mood by reducing feelings of anxiety, depression, irritability, or emotional heaviness.

Provides a healthy way to cope with stress.

Keeps us present, in our bodies, how we feel, focused on breathing.

We can build a sense of accomplishment.

We help build a healthy relationship with our bodies, reconnecting and caring for our selves.

It provides CONNECTION.

We’re reminded we’re not just trying to stop doing things, we are creating and movement can help create a life of loving our selves again.

Movement doesn’t always mean intense but it is intentional

"Hey! We are excited to share that we have launched a new Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The location is right next to the Starbucks at the base of the canyon.

Take a minute to get to know our support staff Addie & help us celebrate her! 👇

What inspired you to work in women’s recovery?

I knew I wanted to work in a meaningful environment. Throughout my life, I’ve seen and felt the power of healing and connecting with the stories of other women. I wanted to continue experiencing those feelings and Reprieve has given me the perfect opportunity.

What’s your favorite part about working with the women who come through Reprieve?

I love getting to hear about the women’s passions and desires. I’ve learned that humans are incredibly strong and capable of overcoming challenges. The women inspire me so much.

How has this work changed you personally?

This work has helped me to become more grounded. I often use the same techniques the women talk about and try them for myself!

What are a few things that bring you joy outside of work?

Outside of work, I love to play tennis, read, go to concerts, and spend time outside.

What’s one thing you’re really proud of big or small?

I’m really proud of the work I’ve put in to get into the Social Work program at Utah State University and I’m excited to continue my education!

We love you so much, Addie!! You bring so much joy and creativity into the house and your smile is just the best!! Thanks for being you!! 🫶🏼
