One of the questions I get asked most often by new moms is about birth control, breastfeeding, newborns, and all the hormonal changes that come with this season of life.

I don’t have every answer because every woman’s body and situation are different. But one thing I do know is that understanding your cycle before pregnancy can give you valuable insight into understanding it after having a baby and throughout your breastfeeding journey.

If I had one recommendation, it would be to find a way to track your body’s natural patterns such as your overnight temperature with a wearable device like an . Seeing your temperature trends over time can help you better understand your cycle and how your body changes throughout the month.

For many women, having that information provides a whole new level of awareness about their health and can make conversations with their healthcare provider even more informed.

As a NICU and newborn nurse, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly emergencies can happen. While I hope you never have to use these skills, knowing what to do in those first few moments could make all the difference.

When I earned my nursing degree, I never imagined it would eventually lead me away from the bedside.

I truly loved caring for NICU babies and their families, but what I loved just as much was teaching. The things that felt overwhelming and scary to new parents were things I could help explain, walk them through, and reassure them about. Being a steady hand during such an emotional season became one of my greatest joys.

Then the internet opened a whole new door.

Two years ago this week, I started creating videos sharing some of my favorite Amazon products that I genuinely believed could help families feel less overwhelmed by all the consumerism in the baby world. Around that same time, I realized the Amazon Influencer Program could create enough income to allow me to spend more time at home with my kids while continuing to teach both in person and online.

What started as a few product videos has grown into a YouTube channel, an incredible online community, and opportunities I never expected. (And a special shoutout to all the data-loving people in this community…you’ve taught me so much in an area where I definitely don’t naturally excel!)

One of the tools that has helped propel my growth has been Viral View. Receiving this award today was such an honor and a reminder of how far this journey has come.

While I’m incredibly grateful for the accomplishments, my “why” has never changed. My goal is to continue building a business that allows me to be present with my children, love my husband well, and continue helping expecting moms and new parents feel confident as they navigate one of the biggest transitions of their lives.

Sometimes God takes the passions He’s already placed in our hearts and simply gives us a different platform to use them. For that, I’m incredibly thankful. ❤️

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I think my motivation would improve dramatically if my parents started wearing giant buttons with my face on them.

The support has drastically decreased.
