Tennessee State Veterans' Homes Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes are top-rated skilled nursing facilities with four locations across the State of Tennessee.

Dedicated to serving Tennessee’s veterans, spouses/widows and Gold Star Parents with long and short-term nursing home level care, all locations offer customized care plans, veteran camaraderie and VA financial assistance to eligible veterans. TSVH offers short-term rehabilitation and long-term care options for honorably discharged veterans, veteran spouses, and Gold Star parents. The facilities are located in Murfreesboro, Humboldt, Knoxville, and Clarksville, with Cleveland and Arlington coming in the near future. TSVH Executive Offices are located in Murfreesboro and all facilities are governed by the Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes Board.

A Little Lemonade, A Lot of Love, and Steps Toward a Cure!

At Tennessee State Veterans’ Home in Murfreesboro, we're proving that you don't have to go far to make a difference—you just have to lead with your heart.

In support of the 2026 Rutherford County Walk to End Alzheimer's, our wonderful residents hosted a lemonade stand in our foyer, spreading smiles, serving up sweetness, and raising support for a cause that touches so many lives.

But we didn't stop there! Our residents and staff laced up their walking shoes and took a lap around our facility, walking side by side in honor of those living with Alzheimer's, those we've lost, and the families and caregivers who love them.

For many of us, this cause is deeply personal. We see firsthand the importance of compassion, connection, and preserving the precious moments that make up a lifetime of memories.

Because even when memories fade, love remains.

We're incredibly proud of our residents and team for showing that every step, every cup of lemonade, and every act of kindness can make a difference.

A HUGE thank you to the wonderful folks at the Trenton Elks Lodge for treating our residents to one FIN-tastic fish dinner! And just when we thought the evening couldn't get any better, a certain big-haired, big-hearted country music diva look-alike made an appearance!

Good food, great company, a little Dolly-inspired dazzle, and a whole lot of laughter made for an unforgettable evening!

Thank you, Trenton Elks, for showing our veterans so much love! Y'all sure know how to make a splash!

Some promises are so beautiful, they're worth making all over again!

Love was in the air at Tennessee State Veterans’ Home in Cleveland as we celebrated one of life's sweetest moments—a Vow Renewal Celebration!

There is something incredibly special about witnessing a love that has stood the test of time. Through every joy, every challenge, and every chapter of life, the promise of “I do” remains just as meaningful as the very first time it was spoken.

With hearts full of love, happy tears, and beautiful memories, our residents reminded us that true love doesn't grow old—it only grows deeper.

What an honor it is to celebrate not just the years they've shared, but the countless little moments that have made their love stories so extraordinary.

Here's to a lifetime of love, laughter, cherished memories, and choosing each other again and again.

We're calling on all you generous ghouls, goblins, and good witches to help us stock up on individually wrapped candy for Halloween festivities at ALL Tennessee State Veterans' Homes locations!

It’s National Case Management Week — and we’re celebrating the incredible Admissions Case Managers who help families find the right next step in care! 🇺🇸

When a hospital stay ends, figuring out what comes next can feel overwhelming. That’s where our TSVH Admissions Case Managers shine. They help veterans and their families understand eligibility, answer questions, coordinate with hospitals and providers, and guide families through the admissions process from the first phone call to arrival at one of our Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes.

Here’s something every veteran family should know: If you or your loved one is hospitalized and will need skilled nursing or rehabilitation after discharge, tell your hospital case manager or discharge planner that you would like a Tennessee State Veterans’ Home considered for your care.

Don’t assume they already know you’re interested — ask for TSVH by name.

And our Admissions Case Managers are ready to work alongside you, your family and your hospital care team to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Blue Raider football + honoring our Veterans = a winning combination!

Several of our TSVH Murfreesboro Veterans and their families had an incredible night at the MTSU Salute to Service Game! They enjoyed an exciting evening of football, received a special on-field recognition at halftime, and got to celebrate a Blue Raider WIN!

We’re so grateful to Middle Tennessee State University for continuing to honor those who have served our nation and for making our Veterans feel so special.

A great night, a great win, and some very deserving VIPs in the spotlight!

Best concert in town? We already know the answer!

Our residents at TSVH Ben Atchley in Knoxville absolutely LOVE when the Mt. LeConte Jug Band comes to play! From toe-tapping tunes to big smiles, singing along and maybe even a little dancing, they always know how to bring the fun.

There’s just something special about great music, great friends and a room full of joy—and the Mt. LeConte Jug Band delivers every single time!

For families currently on the TSVH Arlington waitlist, we know that sometimes care can’t wait.

While our Arlington ribbon cutting has been postponed and the home is not yet accepting residents, we want you to know there may be another TSVH option available in the meantime.

Our W.D. “Bill” Manning Tennessee State Veterans’ Home in Humboldt currently has open beds for eligible Veterans and family members who may need skilled nursing care sooner.

Families who choose Humboldt while waiting for Arlington can request a transfer to Arlington once the new home is open and accepting residents, based on bed availability and the appropriate transfer process.

We understand that choosing long-term care is a big decision—and waiting for the right option can be difficult. Our team is here to help you explore what may work best for your family and make the transition as smooth as possible.

We had a little too much fun joining Main Street Murfreesboro’s Scarecrows Downtown this year! Meet Captain TSVH—our star-spangled salute to the real superheroes we’re honored to serve every day.

His motto? “Cheers to our Heroes: Tennessee’s Everyday Captain Americas!”

You can find Captain TSVH hanging outside Boro, Bourbon & Brews all month long. Stop by, snap a selfie with him, scan the QR code to learn more about TSVH, and—most importantly—vote for Captain TSVH as your favorite scarecrow during October!

New partnerships. New opportunities. A bright future ahead!

We are incredibly excited to be in the beginning of a new partnership between Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes and MTSU’s Nursing Program!

It was an honor to welcome Lt. General Keith Huber of MTSU’s Daniels Veteran Center, College of Behavioral & Health Sciences Dean Peter Grandjean. and new Director of School of Nursing, Dr. Bethany Rhoten to our Murfreesboro home and introduce them to the special community that makes TSVH so unique.

This partnership represents so much more than working together—it’s an opportunity to connect the next generation of nurses with the veterans who have given so much to our country, provide meaningful real-world learning experiences and introduce future healthcare professionals to the rewarding world of long-term care.

We can’t wait to watch this relationship grow and bloom as we create new opportunities for students, our residents and both of our organizations.
